The pattern has nothing to do with either goalie, the real constant is Bouchard. Every single time he’s around the net, the puck ends up in it. Just look at the first two goals tonight. Until that defensive leak is fixed, you could put Hasek in net and it still wouldn’t matter. And honestly, the whole team needs a month of playing football, because in the D-zone they’re just standing there like training cones.
What drives me crazy is that every time the puck ends up in the net, Bouchard makes that same face… like “oh darn, how did that happen again?” You see it once, fine. You see it every game, it’s infuriating. There are forwards, there are defensemen, and then there’s Bouchard… something in between, but definitely neither. And somehow that hybrid chaos costs 10.5 million.
