It's a couple games that have looked bad. No need to freak out. That's dumb
C'MON guys!!! Did you seriously think that players like Newhook & Dach & Laine & Guhle could be counted on to be part of the lineup long-term??? They're injury-prone. Face it. We're not a durable team.
You guys are sounding like Leafs fans right now…we're playing like crap, we have huge holes in our lineup, and we have major injury issues, but…it'll ALL BE FINE. That's not how this goes in the NHL.
To quote Big Tuna, 'You are what your record says you are'. I am sick of Hab fans and management lying to themselves and the fans about the calibre of the teams they build and pretending they are real Cup contenders. For Josh to say 'we didn't play 7-0 bad…' is exactly what's wrong with the Habs and their ownership and management. They lost 5-1 to LA and 7-0 to Dallas in consecutive games. Get real Josh. They are exactly a 12-1 team. Sure they might rebound and play lesser teams and put up some points UNTIL the next fast and heavy team comes through. Face it. This team is as far from being a contender as they've been since 1993. The 2021 Finals appearance was a joke. The Habs didn't belong on the same ice as the Bolts. Tampa played with them like a cat playing with a little mouse and then took them back to Tampa for the final kill so they could win the Cup on home ice.
Move Bolduc up to take Newhook's spot on the Kapanen line, bring Davidson up from Laval to take Bolduc's spot on the Dach line
Bedard, Celebrini and they got Slafkovsly the bot lmfao 😂🥀💀🤣
Team is too small, especially the D with the exemption of the guy pinned to the bench. Why are they still playing Veleno?
Brainstorm/Idea: Build a first line as a Fast Offensive line (Caufield-Suzuki-Demidov) and build a second line as a Heavy Offensive line (Someone-Someone-Slafkovsky)…then we have two gears suitable for different styles. Tuch-Thompson-Slafkovsy type of thing…(?)
The Eastern Conference is very tight. If you blink you might see Montreal go from third place at the top to third from the bottom. But they should make the playoffs by the end of the season and that's all that matters.
Apparently, it's talked about in NHL circles that Montreal doesn't have great goalie coaching. If this is the case, might be time for some new blood.
The thing that is the worst is Newhook's injury,
his knee or leg snapped real hard and its really sad
I would not be surprised if it is a major injury 🥲
This is why Hughes and Gorton should have forced St. Louis to have a capable, experienced coach to help with the special teams and the management of games. PeeWee ruined a great start by Dobes who was named the third start of the league in October and then Marty gives to blowhard Montembeault, who was never a capable number 1 (lifetime .900;save perxentage- what crap is that?) most of the games and said he had a talk with Dobes. What did he say? That Monty was the number 1? Honestly, in any other market, Dobes woukd have been given the number 1. Marty has truly messed up the situation. The higher ups need to tell Marry that Dobes is the number 1 for the rest of the season.
It was really bad!
Jacob Fowler.
still too soft
I think benching their undefeated goalie was a horrible mistake, he's an emotional young goalie who needs to toughen up mentally but we will never know now whether his streak was a fluke or if the benching crushed his confidence, I lean towards the latter especially with the mental game being a huge part of goal tending, his timely big saves are what helped the them rally for all those close comeback wins and they wouldn't have had such a great start if it wasn't for him, hopefully he can bounce back and get his shit together because if not we got two goalies who's confidence is in the dirt
.615… thats sadly what happens when you put too much pressure on yourself.
Arber was looking good early, to me
Thing is every team (even the very good ones) go through a bad stretch at some point.
Remember last year's disastrous start? The entire team should have been sent to Laval, Martin St. Louis couldn't coach, Kent Hughes did not know what he was doing (Lekhonen!), and what exactly was Chantal Machabé doing there?
And then … they made the playoffs.
Just beat those bloodly Bruins Saturday night and all will be forgotten. 😅
Shot count doesn't matter if you don't get enough high threat chances on the goalie. Also the Habs have been playing sloppy defense in their end of the ice the last several games and its catching up to them and they need to fix it. Wonder if Marty is going to bag skate them tomorrow.
Everything started falling apart when Marty began wearing that silly little moustache.
..
Peewee coach doing pewee coach things. Get a real coach already
Need to get bigger and play bigger.
MSL and fans need to worry less about who the #1 goalie is and focus on more on consistent performance and workload. Both goalies need to work, for the foreseeable MSL needs to alternate them every game unless there is an overwhelming reason not to. With Newhook out who comes up? Dauphin? Davidson? Thanks guys.
12-1 in 2 games.
Oof
Yes, the last 2 teams they played were bigger, but they were also much more experienced. It takes a long time for a team as young as ours to learn when to shoot and go to the net for rebounds and "garbage" goals and when to try and make pretty highlight reel plays. Nobody expected them to win a cup this year so relax.
habs got pumped !! lol
only 5 regulation wins, goalies are both trash, these bums are missing the playoffs or losing in 1st again 😂
Another Habs game of sloppy D, shaky goaltending, 4th highest GA in the Conference, Piss poor head coaching!! 😂😂😂😂
MSL.This all started with Zegras, Blatt and now Robertson. Why do people come into our barn and make us look bad.
Dallas is a top 4 team in NHL with parity in league you will see those top teams will win like this time to time.
Out west Aves,Stars,Vegas,Ducks are looking like the top teams rn.
And the drop in the standings is coming. Maybe one more 5 pick again. Get Reinbacher in. Anderson Evans gone.
too much respect for opposing teams. They are not your friends on the ice.
I disagree, no one was good tonight. We are getting exposed now, offensively we are not good against top heavy playoff teams. We got pushed around and our forecheck was non existent.
Defense was atrocious man we are missing Guhle for sure.
Dobes could of stopped 1 or 2 goals there but Dallas is elite offensively and 2nd best PP.
PK and PP are struggling.
RIP Newhook lol.
We are a bubble team that will finish anear last WC spot. We are still rebuilding and have work to do.
maybe they all got that flue that's been going around
