  1. I'm starting to actually wonder if we're even allowed to talk about trading Hughes for Celebrini or Bedard, like right now before the B.C. kids out value the American who won't stay here.

Why isn't this the main conversation?

  2. We should commit to a full rebuild , trade anyone of value, except pettersson. If we have to live through a rebuild, so does he. And his salary will keep the cap floor up.

  3. Buy out Demko and go full rebuild. I think us long time fans (over 40+ years) are tired of watching this pathetic team lose year after year after year.

  4. Who knows what Demko did with all that time off, but between the club and himself they should have explored every option that modern medical science has to get him back to health. Stem cells, peptides etc. And if they did – and this is the result. Then move on from him. Enough is enough.

  5. Honestly, love Demko, he is IMO top 3 goalies when hes healthy but as a fan i hate that we signed him before the season started. I though give him this year see if he can stay healthy then sign him. Would we have to pay more, for sure, but i woild rather see them over pay for a healthy demko rather then pay average for an always injured one. Honestly buy him out, lets sign someone a little more reliable at this point and see what they can do.

  6. I totally agree… the way this amateur scouting staff has performed under Harvey… plus the golden opportunity to get very good players in this draft, the smart move is to load up if this thing goes sideways rather than the old playbook of trading for bandaids that never pan out🤷🏻‍♂️ This “rebuild “ term is overused… it’s simply making smart decisions… I STILL believe it was a mistake not trading Kuzmenko at the deadline a few years ago at his peak

  7. Should have kept Artie and traded Demko before the league realized how brittle he is and was still worth something.

  8. By Quads' logic, you have to wait until Hughes makes a decision on whether to do a "short" rebuild that doesn't involve trading everyone away. Say Quinn wants out and they trade next June. Canucks are lousy for 3 years, load up on draft picks and make lots of picks. Those draft picks will still take a few years of conditioning until they are NHL ready (or if, because not all prospects pan out). That puts the Quads rebuild into the 6-7 year timeframe that is close to the 8 year rebuild that Quads wrote off as overly pessimistic. At that time, everyone on this roster will have moved on retired already,, so there would have been no point to keep all of the veteran players in the first place.
