As the informal skates continue at UBC, it was Quinn Hughes making news in Vegas. Matt and Blake take a look at Quinn’s review of his brother’s comments about playing together, and whether this noise can continue for 2 more years. The guys also look at Jim Rutherford’s role in this, and whether he might have regrets about getting ahead of the story. Plus, via the drama around McDavid and Kaprizov, they look ahead to where these contracts talks could end up. Meanwhile, the rest of the team has arrived in town, and the talk now is about improving vibes and being the best “team” possible under Adam Foote. Patrick Johnston of Postmedia is back this season and weighs in on the Hughes family reunion. PJ also looks at the new and improved EP40, his possible linemates, and what the forward “pairings” might look like under Foote. Patrick also gives us a sneak peek at his new book “Gino”, and some fabulous Gino Odjick stories. Then it’s local soccer writer Simon Fudge expanding upon his reporting of a possible new investor in the Whitecaps. Who is he, what is he worth, and did Müller’s arrival help make it all happen? Matt and Blake wrap up the show with a look at the latest from Caps training, the BC Lions bring back a franchise legend to help on D, and the M’s and Jays show up when it counts.

I get that part of the job is speculation..but jeez, can't wait until we can talk about actual hockey games!
Mat, you need to stop putting words in JR's mouth. He literally talked about bringing the other Hughes brothers here.
Quinn has always maintained his desire to play and win here and once again today he literally said jack will do his thing in NJ and he will do his here.
I can't put it anymore clearly than if there was any hint of him leaving, Quinn would have already been traded, the three Americans wouldn't have committed etc etc.
Turn the fucking page already and stop trying to stoke the flames of a nothing burger.
22:13 Well, in fairness, guys, Newark is 20 minutes from New York City by train and there is much much less travel than playing in Vancouver
If Quinn wants to leave because of losing or if he wants to play with his bros, he's gonna go and there ain't shit any of us can do about it. No chance that management brings him back in the final year of his deal, you don't do that with an expiring asset of THIS value. So I'm gonna watch this season like it's his last and enjoy the hell out of every ridiculous ankle-breaking play.
You guys Are Gonna drive Quinn out of town with all of the bullshit conjecture.
