  1. Detroit Red Wing will have their time.
They only need some grit. They are playing like little girl.
Take a page from Notre Dame, "Play like a Champions today" get'er done boyz.

  2. Tomorrow’s game will tell us a lot about the identity of this team. If they don’t respond well to the last two practices, they’re probably done.

  3. This 80iq scumbag now has Patrick Kane not only stranded with Finnie/Compher 5v5, he has him on 2nd power play while Finnie and Danielson are on top power play.

Patrick Kane is the team leader in power play points and goals under McLellan, in 14 fewer games than the other guys. He's the team leader in power play on-ice goals/60 the last 3 years. Nate Danielson has played 1 NHL game and has never scored an NHL point. Emmitt Finnie has played 15 NHL games and has 1 career power play point and has been miserably bad on the power play.

This is the same coach who had Kane 3rd in OT w Compher and Finnie 1st with Larkin in OT, 5 games into Finnie's career. Leading directly to Kane's injury and the collapse of the team.

I love the ending of this ridiculous presser.

"Sometimes things click, sometimes you get somebody's attention real fast and you get more out of them, and sometimes, maybe somebody pouts and takes themselves out of it. Um, there's really no other, those are the 3 ways you get to react as a player, uh, I like the first 2 a lot better than the third one."

There's another option, clown, it's Kane asks for a trade. He has leverage and options. He's not Berggren.

This guy has shown zero respect for or acknowledgment of who Kane is. Since day 1. He seems to take extra pleasure in disrespecting and screwing with a legend and treating him like he's not even just a regular player but actually a 4th line scrub who this career loser coach can do anything to.

Kane can literally ask for a trade right now and get it. And be on the defending champ's top power play and top 6 tomorrow night.

  4. Reminder that Todd McLellan in his 17 year NHL head coaching career has 0 Stanley Cups, 0 Stanley Cup Finals appearances, and a pathetic 6 playoff series wins. In his last 14 seasons, Todd McLellan has won an embarrassing TWO (2) playoff series. In his last 11 seasons, Todd McLellan has made the playoffs a pathetic 3 out of 11 years.

Patrick Kane at 21 years old had won 6 playoff series and a Stanley Cup. He had, at 21 years old, accomplished more than Todd McLellan has accomplished in his nearly 2 decades of being an NHL head coach. Included in this was a brutal 4-0 sweep of Todd McLellan's team in the conference final, on the way to a Cup win. Is this why career loser Todd McLellan resents him so much? Does he resent Kane bc Kane is obviously much smarter and more qualified to be an NHL head coach than Todd is? Kane is smarter about hockey, has won more, and is more qualified to coach than Todd McLellan and Trent Yawney combined. And isn't shy about chiming in during practices and correcting their stupidity, from what Todd has said. Is this why they hate him so much?

Yzerman should have promoted Kane to player-coach, if he wasn't going to hire Quenneville. Instead this team is stuck in purgatory w an even worse Lalonde – an arrogant 'veteran coach' version of Lalonde, but every bit as clueless and awful, every bit as incapable of winning or leading the team into the next phase, every bit as incapable of grooming young talent (see the massive fall off of Finnie and Kasper, the disappearance of Pellikka, the demotion of MBN), and every bit as incapable of inspiring, respecting and getting the most out of veteran talent.

Hall of Famers coached/played with/coached by
McLellan 11 (Kane, McDavid, Draisaitl, Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, Roenick, Thornton, Pavelski, Marleau, Blake)
Kane 4 (Hossa, Keith, Toews, Quenneville)

  5. Note btw that the entire "first" power play is now homegrown guys who are young and/or signed through doomsday. That is the qualification for being on top power play. Not being the best offensive players or best for the job. All that matters is who drafted you, how long you are signed, what your age is. That's why Kane is off it, and why DeBrincat is also off it. While a kid in his 2nd game, with 0 NHL points, is now on it. While a kid in his 16th NHL game, w 1 career power play point, and scoreless and awful in his last like 8 games, is also now on it.

Patrick Kane, besides being Patrick Kane, is the team's leader in power play goals and points under Todd McLellan. This despite playing 14 fewer games than Larkin and Cat, 12 fewer than Raymond. Kane is the team's leader in on-ice goals/60 on the power play the last 3 years. By a good margin.

Why would any quality veteran ever sign here? What other team is being run like this?

Kane also, btw, is 2nd among qualifying players in the ENTIRE NHL in 3v3 OT goals per 60 over the last 3 years. Todd had him buried 3rd in 3v3 OT behind Emmitt Finnie.

This is a coach who will never accomplish anything in this league. And doesn't deserve to.

Not one guy in that locker room has the slightest bit of respect for him.

  6. HarrisMcGovern is Ed gein, I fear for Kane's life he is a stalker and would kill and wear Kane's skin if he could so he can be with Kane 24/7 should probably be locked up

  7. One of the major unspoken reasons Derek Lalonde lost the locker room was his mistreatment of Patrick Kane w lineups and usage. The team turned on him and eventually refused to play for him bc of it. In one of his very last games, I distinctly remember the team was playing well and winning and feeling good, and then Lalonde randomly went back to Larkin Cat Raymond for several shifts mid-game, for no apparent reason. The team immediately quit. Got shellacked the rest of the game from that point on. And never competed for him again, and he got fired.

They have kept clearing out veterans one after another. Maybe they think now the team is full enough of random rookies that they can do that to Kane without losing the room. We'll see!
