Nice to see the bounce back win! The Newhook-Kapanen-Demidov line looking promising…liking the speed and skill level of each player on that line which seems to compliment one another. Happy to see MSL give Gally a more offensive role this season. Extremely happy Slaf scored…hoping this quiets some of the naysayers out there, at least for awhile. No notes on Bolduc…just impressed! Dobes, a KEY to the win. Dobson played better, more involved…but still needs time. Biggest beneficiary of Dobson is Matheson…he can play a lot more relaxed knowing Dobs is on the team. I would like to see Veleno get a shot playing with Laine, who yes is not the fleetest of foot (Laine) but you can see the effort is there, The only negatives…being outshot, giving up the first goal, and face-offs still need to improve…also, get better sticks boys…geez, how many have broken at very inopportune times! Glad lines 2-3 are clicking bc otherwise, media would be commenting on slow start for 1st line. I wonder if the contract issue is distracting Hutson bc he's making quite a few blunders…hoping it's just getting the cobwebs out early in the season. Looking forward to home opener vs Seattle…should be an amazing night. Go Habs Go!
Great game for the guys. Not perfect but very good for game 2 of the season. Does may steal the starter job this season. He is ready to challenge for it
I was not as high on Kapanen as Grant McCagg, but he's been really good these last 2 games. Same for Bolduc. I doubt they keep this pace up all season but it's nice to see.

I think what we learned last night is the Habs and Sens are not going to be taken lightly. They could possibly meet in the playoffs as well. Teams like Detroit and Buffalo did it wrong and Habs and Sens did it right.
Happy to see Slaffy score, he had the most SOG of the team against the Leafs with 6. Gally takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. The kids are fun to watch.

The idea that Dobes will only play the 2nd of back to backs is nuts. Montembeault 50, Dobes 30, Kakkhonen 2, Fowler 2. That would be good.
