Olivier doesn’t even play hockey at this point. I like an physical game but buddy either gets ejected for a DIRTY hit or he just fights. Sign him up for the damn UFC, he can fight but that’s bout it.
People will crap all over Frederic for challenging Olivier but the truth is, they’d also crap on him if he picked on someone he knew he could beat. Shout out to Freddy for going after their biggest baddest guy. It wasn’t about winning the fight or making someone pay, it was about injecting emotion and physicality into, not just his game, but the team’s as well.
Frederick was in Boston for a few years, meh player, meh fighter – but on a team with no fighters, he's all they got – bad news for him. I give him credit for always being willing to drop them – even when he knows he's going to get his ass kicked. But this was stupid. Coach said he needs to be 'more physical' – so he goes after the toughest guy in the NHL knowing he's going to get his ass kicked? How about fighting their 2nd or 3rd toughest guy? You'll still lose, but at least it won't be such an ass whopping.
This fight looked like Matty O went at about 50 percent. I feel for the kid. Zero help from the linesmen and his Coach throwing him to the heavy weight champ.
