Not a Cats fan but really like Barkov since his first season. One interesting thing about the team will be Anton Lundell. He's gonna get a chance to play top 6, could be great for him

That’s a major blow to hockey fans everywhere not just FLA. Barkov isn’t just some flashy scorer; he’s a cornerstone to a franchise’s rise from irrelevance to champions plural and annual contention, a premier player at both ends.
Knee surgery is nothing to come back quickly from. Even the most successful repair won’t make him 100% as before and the odds of reinjury are high. Terrible thing to happen to anyone.
This hurts. Barkov is the last dude that deserves this. It’s MCL AND MCL injuries… 7-9 months out.
That being said, I’m grateful for two Stanley cups, and I will never underestimate this team again.

Well so much hockey take a toil on your body you said before going to 4 straight Stanley cups finals is hard… That's one of the reason why… I never liked the Panthers but it's a shame…
Sharks didn't use the black jersey last season. They used some weird alt logo. Not sure when they abandoned it since I didn't watch for a couple of years pre Celebrini. It was just too depressing after Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Burns all left and not being a playoff team.
As a fan I approve of this. I've always prefered the original logo, and it's a great time to return to a classic era as they're finding their new identity. Bring out the black one again when they're a playoff team that other teams actually finds to be scary, and the Shark tank is loud again.

Barkov out for 7-9 months. As a Swede I'm glad he won't play for Finland in the Olympics, but I feel bad for him as a person. Hope he recovers quickly!

my bad yall, i picked up barkov for fantasy and he got injured that same day, which is exactly what happened last year when he got injured. at least that means yall are winning the cup again
I mean, it was to be expected : the Panthers have been to the cup final 3 years in a row, that's more than 3/4 of a season worth of intense hockey, it makes sense that players who have been to those 3 cup finals start getting injured or need more serious surgeries

As a Sharks fan I’m disappointed they’re not going to be wearing the almost new Cal Fin jersey this season. Just got a new Celebrini one I’ve only worn to one game.
The throwback jerseys are because it’s our 35th season. Aside from not having the V neckline, the arms are also not in the shiny fabric.
I’m a die hard Devils fan, but I root for Florida once NJ is done since I live here. Really sad to see a guy like Barky miss the season.
The only plus for me is that Nico Hischier might finally get his selke that he deserves
