To Stu’s credit, he keeps the mindset clean. After 1–9 you need short memory and a hard reset. He stays positive and protects his process, which is what you want from a starter. The issue is collective focus. Sixty minutes, one job, win. Until the group plays on purpose every shift, the score will keep finding them.
Edmonton needs more from their starting goalie. This isn’t cutting it anymore. In the meantime, start playing Pickard more so he is better prepared. Perhaps this will give Skinner time to decide if he’s really about winning games for the Oilers. They don’t look like Stanley Cup material.

Bottom line is, NHL goal tenders HAVE TO MAKE STOPS!! regardless of how bad the back check is or how bad Bouchard plays!!
Skinner likes to hear himself talk . It’s all double talk and there’s two words for it and it rhymes with it He’s awful to watch in net on any given night cause the team doesn’t know if its the good Stu or the bad Stu who doesn’t even look like he belongs in the net as he often let’s the team down with freebee goals when his team needs him the most . Sinners style of play where he spends most of the playing on his knees fish flopping to extremes left to right letting in freebie goals that hurt the team . He is known after three years to consistent at being inconsistent period . He is and never will be a no1 goalie ..picker is better than him , at this point skinner is at best a backup to a backup . He overrated himself and his value it’s been obvious he’s just not good enough , trade him for whatever you can get because the more he plays the more his value goes down .Oilers management you owe Skinner nothing and get a proven goalie you owe that to the team and to your fans . The Stanley cup awaits Because if you don’t you’re season will be lost
