Don't at me about Bednar's three HC league championships. Bob Hartley won a QMJHL & AHL Championship before he coached the Avs. BH won four division titles & got to four NHL Conf Finals. BH also coached Team Latvia and won a Gagarin Cup in the KHL after the Avs. BH only got four full seasons in COL…
The big thing back in the day with Hartley was: he was a factory worker while coaching Junior A; its like the Matt Nieto is from Long Beach thing that got tired really fast, lol
Brindley , the throw-in on a salary dump trade, and he’s playing himself into a spot in the Avs line up! I see Kivi becoming the spare in this team, and that’s saying a lot cause he’s Bednar’s security blanket!
Bednar has done a great job in the regular season; he's overseen a Hart & Norris winner and two 50 goal scorers.
I knew something was up with Mackinnon when he refused to feed Necas during the Edmonton game. Now Necas has been downgraded by the coach to second line and Mackinnon is playing with Lehkonen and Brindley. Mackinnon said he doesn't want to play with Necas who doesn't do any crinding for him just waits by the net for Mack to feed him and figure skates around. Mackinnon just had enough of that merchant…
