  1. The only way forward is through accountability- either Knoblauch actually shows some emotion and benches one of the top players, or even better still having the fans stop buying the product being offered to them. Imagine a stretch of games where attendance is significantly down and you’d hope to see management suddenly pay attention to what’s happening.

Mcd and Drai seem to show no desire to pull the new guys along. I can’t see either of them actually leading like Perry did- so dispassionate – like they’re just going through the motions. Same with no-worries Stu, and with I’m doing what I can Bouche and Nurse.

I feel for the young guys on the team trying to fit in such a toxic looking squad.

  2. So Knobber changes our coaching style to beat a team like Florida but lose to every other team in the league. He's a total joke

  3. Boston is an unexpectedly good team this year. I'm not a Bruins fan though but I think the Oilers have better odds than the Bruins do of landing McKenna the way things are going this year. Teams like Seattle, Utah, Anaheim, and Chicago are much better and this Oilers team is definitely at risk of missing the playoffs if they can't figure out how to play hockey.

  4. You volunteered at the animal shelter?! Austin, now I like you even more! There are things way more important than a hockey game 🤗

  5. Least optimistic that I've felt about the team over the past three years. The last two seasons, even during the terrible starts, our underlying numbers were always great. This year, they say we're exactly where we should be, mediocre.

People really overestimated how quickly guys like Howard and Tomasek would make an impact, they're just not ready for roles we were counting on to fill yet. On top of that, keeping Frederic of Brown and Perry has aged horrifically.

  6. We have less wins than the sharks and black hawks. They need to get their shit together. Because a slow November is gonna turn into a slow December than they are out of the playoffs.

  7. I can't think of any playoff team that has to repeatedly rotate goalies in the playoffs because their "#1" becomes unplayable. I dont think a single cup champion has ever had that problem.

  8. The frederic rant. I so agree with what you said. I still feel that he wasn’t brought in to score goals and that he was meant to be a physical grinder on the bottom six. So far, haven’t seen it. It’s just looking absolutely awful right now.

  9. Such a fun game to watch. Flipped over on goal #4 so I decided to watch
and it kept getting better and better. Great evening on my end at least.

  10. It’s the same old story. We end up blaming the goalies for the ineptitude of our forwards and defence. How is it that the opposition has figured out that creating traffic in front of the net, creates scoring opportunities and we (Oilers) are still looking for the pretty goals, with way too many ill-timed passes? A goalie isn’t giving away the A chances in the slot. A goalie cannot create a team of snipers, which the Oilers sorely lack.
You can get a great goalie and lose 6-1 instead, I suppose.

  11. Dude, I would love to watch a game with you! Great analysis and such passion! My new fave hockey channel, way to go. 🏒🔥

  12. VGK fan here, like your channel. I believe the Oil play this way every November and then end up in the cup 2 years in a row. I mean, yeah that game last night I watched was terrible but don't take away from Colorado. They look like the best team in the league right now. Yeah 9 goals, but Skinner sucks, always has. I don't understand why the Oil management hasn't drafted a top tier goalie or even pick up a veteran fa. You can't expect Mcd to carry a team every night, the best player in the world can't carry a team every night.

  13. When that 3rd goal went in from the same spot, I would have marched those guys back to the dressing room for a serious chair throwing pep talk, and taken what ever delay of game penalties the refs dissed out. But I assure you they would come back out on the ice brand new men.

  14. I went upstairs to my home gym when it was 3-0 after the offside call – turns out I saved myself a lot of grief.

  15. This dhot is embarrassing when they gonna finally get there head out there asses they must've getting dog walked thus is embarrassing

  16. Nobody in Edmonton will talk about the elephant in the room: McDavid. He's supposed to be the greatest player ever and yet he can't elevate the play of those around him. He can't lead. McDavid is not a champion. Period.

  17. Matt from OilersFanReaction will forever stand up for Stu even when then towers are tumbling, and then critique all those that disagree

  18. The game against the Columbus now is HUUUUGEEEE. I believe after that game we go on a 7 game road trip. There is no way we can lose that game against Columbus AT HOME prior to the trip. If we lose that game but play really, well things are even worse cause if we play 'really well' there is no way THIS team should be beating by the BJ's . So if we lose Monday – there's a really good chance Knoblauch will be on his last road trip. What gets me (and I'm not there just hearing it on different You Tube channels) is that he practiced with one set of lines for two days then completely changed them up against Colorado. Why would you do that? Why don't you make the lines and LEAVE THEM TOGETHER for a few games. See if they 'gel'. I'm thinking that when Hyman is back – we should see a McDavid/Hyman Draisaitl/RNH lines and plug other wingers on from there – Raslovic with McD / Pod with Drai maybe)? Put Howard in Bakersfield for a bit to get more acclimatized to the pros. Janmark/Henrique/Frederick and have Philp/Savoie/Mangiapane. Tomasek can fill in and replace someone in bottom 6 when someone (frederick??) shits the bed. As for Frederick – no one will fight him because there's no reason to. He's not giving them a reason – goals have nothing to do with it. It's all about what you're doing on the ice at the time – what are you doing Fred – are you running the goalie? Are you creating scrums? Or are you passively skating around saying 'wanna go' to the opposition – idiot what do you think they'll say???

  19. Pickard last night had a positive goals saved above expected. That is how bad the Oilers were. Cal was pretty good. Once again you go on this rant as if changing the backup goalie is going to meaninfully change anything. It changes NOTHING. Fine, dump Pickard. It won't change anything.

  20. The fact of the matter is that We ain't winning anything with Bouchard, Nurse and useless defense and now with clueless Coach. Avs, Bruins, Panthers, Canucks, Tampa are elite.

  21. Honest question. Did Woodcroft recognize the goalie situation with no power to change it. So he implemented the failed defensive system to try to protect what he had to work with?
