  1. His first question is about how good that the team is staying at 500 with all the injuries. Then saying that everyone in Vancouver is talking about a rebuild. I live in Vancouver. No one is talking about a rebuild here. Unless they’re from other Canadian markets.
I think Scott kept asking the same question over and over because he’s a tool, or he’s just proud he learned how to use a smart phone!

  2. As usual, the guy says a lot, without saying anything meaningful. Much like a politician. He basically told us nothing aside from he doesn't want to rebuild and they have some good young players, and kept mentioning EP40 as one of their great players like Demko and Hughes, even though he plays like he's getting paid Sherwood money. He didn't even commit to retaining Sherwood or giving him an extension, even though he's playing better than Mr 11.6. EP40 is a bust, he's never going to go back to 100 points, he's basically a middle six forward now. We need at least one hard charging power forward for around $8 million, someone like JT Miller.. Oh, wait.. Any chance we had of keeping Quinn went out the door when they gave EP40 that ridiculous contract, and chose to back EP40 over JT. We had a three year window to be a competitor, and that $11.6 could have come in useful for getting a couple of scoring centermen. "but EP40 is good defensively".. We don't pay someone $11.6 to block shots.

  3. Can we stop asking about Quinn Hughes's future, please? How many time are we going to keep asking about it? It's the same answer. dude we still have him for this and the next season. People need to chill out on this question

  4. JT MILLER …….Playing on a world class team. Surrounded by blue chips. 16 games. 3 goals. 5 assists. 8 points. -3.
Losing Miller was apparently the best that ever happened.

  5. I don't blame Patrick or Jim for this. Once Trevor Linden was let go for telling the truth, this is what we were going to get. Patch up the team and see how far they get. No concern for the future or the ultimate goal of winning a championship. If only Arthur Griffiths hadn't overextended himself with the Grizzlies and hadn't had to sell the franchise to John McCaw. Everything went to hell after that, including the uniforms. Arthur cared about the team and the fans.

  6. Imagine if the media routinely took the more positive perspective. If the media were a person asking those questions ad nauseam, you'd think they were suffering from psychosis or some chronic mental illness. Incessant negativity for decades like its their job title only leads to one very negative place, and the 'noise' mentioned many times by Quinn Hughes, Tyler Myers, JT Miller, Elias Pettersson, Rick Tocchet and MacIntyre tonight is more media driven than anything else. They call it the fishbowl for a reason and Vancouvers media is the worst.

  7. I knew that other teams weren't respecting how impactful and great a player Brock is, good answer Patrik!!!!!!

  8. trade hughes hes built like a high schooler and is all regular season

not a playoff player. need big canadian guys not soft europeans and undersized americans

  9. Patrick Allvin is intelligent and well-spoken. I believe the Canucks are gonna get a wildcard this season. And from there anything is possible. Hence the 2023 Florida Panthers. The 2017 Nashville Predators. And the 2012 Los Angeles Kings.
    Go Canucks Go!

  10. Lol teams like SJ and Anaheim, higher in the standings its still early in the season how many times have we seen teams start hot but finish not. I’m not sure why people are talking rebuilding so soon.

  11. That is the stupidest comment i have ever seen. Look back to 2018 and tell me how many wild card teams have made it to the conference finals. Never mind win a cup. Keep buying that this team is a contender when it hasnt been since 2011.

  12. "only have so much money" so he's not sure if he can keep Sherwood or not. Yet Petey sits there with $11.6M/yr. That's the problem, isn't it Patrick?

  13. I feel like most rational Canucks fans have accepted Hughes is going to NJ. Now if they trade him for something or just let him walk free, that's the question since he's an UFA at the end of his contract.

  14. The owner is the worst in the league he is gonna mess this up and hughes will walk for nothing because of how stubborn and cheap he is …. he needs to sell.. its also clear hughes has checked out and i dont blame him

  15. Enjoyed this interview! Apparently, of those posting comments, 75% want a rebuild. What the fk do you think has been going on for the past few years? Cap constraints & having to move Miller have been stumbling blocks, however, fans who see no value in the present group of Canuck players must either believe that there is no cap, or that one should expect better of a seriously depleted roster.

Rebuilds do not happen overnight, nor in a single season. Individual players go through more & less successful times, deal with injuries, are a good fit with some line-mates, not so much with others.

Look at Edmonton getting blown out, 9-1, by Colorado. It's not just Skinner, although he's always been inconsistent. Obviously, Edmonton played like swiss cheese, defensively. Rebuild? There are a shortage of good centres in the league who teams would be willing to trade and the teams who have them want a lot to part with them, or, like the Calgary Flames owner in regard to Kadri, won't trade them.

If Hughes is willing to extend, can we afford him? If not, we might be better off trading him to Edmonton for a king's ransom, so that they can win a cup. I'd prefer he stayed, however, he'll be worth nothing more than his salary cap if he leaves.

  16. awful interview, harass about a stupid rebuild over and over then the stupid Quin question for the millionth time ? Can't we put even a little effort into the interview??

  17. Canucks have horrible management! Should have traded Demko, who is always injured instead of Shilovs!! They will give him away to NJ. He’s American from the east coast, his family lives there and his two younger bros are on NJ!

  18. What Allvin means to say:

We can’t do a rebuild even though we want to because of some bum named Aquilini🤣
