Danila Yurov’s path to the NHL has not come without hard work and sacrifice. His hockey career started in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, which he calls his hometown. His parents put skates on him as a kid to keep him active, but quickly they saw a future for him in hockey. At a young age, Danila and his father moved far away from the rest of the family to take advantage of an opportunity to advance his hockey career. Fast forward a few years later and Yurov is hoisting the Gagarin Cup with Metallurg Magnitogorsk as a KHL champion.
Now, Danila is making a life for himself here in the United States. In this episode of Becoming Wild–presented by Toyota–see how Yurov got a jump start on his first season in the “best league in the world” by living and training in America over the summer. Plus, see how he was able to take time to indulge in and learn about American culture as he settles in to a new life in the NHL and Minnesota.

Really hard not to root for this kid. Very much hoping he has all the success he deserves. He seems like a good guy. Which is also a bit selfish I guess, because we need a great center. Happy for him getting another goal in last nights game. Hopefully he keeps gaining confidence and adjusting.
Once be gains more experience and ultimately a little more confidence, Danila will do just fine.
Great episode! If he hasn't already, I pray he accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, too!
I have this radical idea. Stop Fing Scratching Him and play him in the Top 9! Hynes is a coward.

He has looked like the real deal thus far, I expect him to develop into a key player for the Wild!!
