Clutch..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at the game last night between the Montréal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.. The Habs win this game in overtime! With Alex Newhook being the OT hero .. However, it’s Ivan Demidov once again.. who ties this game up late in the 3rd period and gives his team an opportunity to win. Another clutch game for the rookie.

  1. Flames fan here. Gotta say – You've turned me into a Habs fan. Please don't let bad luck Carney anywhere near the building 🍀🍁

  2. Hate the Sens, love the Habs, but impartially I gotta say, that goal was a good goal. Goalie interference call was BS. But hey, I'll take it after the travesty that was done to the Habs in Edmonton.

  3. Been watching and rooting for the Habs since the mid 1960s (yes, I'm old). This may be the most exciting team since the late 70s. I love it. Keep up the highly entertaining recaps!

  4. Guys turtling, Tough guys dodging getting called out. Bwahahahahah Habs are a bunch of bitches. Kleven sent a pussy to the Quiet room too!

  5. Don’t like the Habs but love this channel. As long as they don’t play my Cats, I’ll pull for them.

  6. Marc bergevin is only good at demolition just look at the kings? Please mister bergevin stay in L.A we love there.

  7. I'm tired of these comeback wins. They're good storyline wise but not sustainable in the long term. I wanna see a good smackdown where we have a lead and we hold on to win it in regulation or a good defensive masterclass

  8. Crazy to think we'd probably be more like 7-5-0 or 6-6-0 duking it out with Boston for 5th in the division without Demidov clutching up those games for us.

He's gonna make a hell of a case for the Calder based on that alone. Schaefer is terrific, and if I had to vote right now I'm choosing him, but I have my doubts about a fresh 18 year old's ability to play 82 games of 1st pairing minutes. Demidov, being a year older playing middle 6 minutes with 1PP time, is where I'd put my money if I had to bet on who'd have the better statline in April.

  9. This is the most exciting Habs team I’ve ever seen. Even the ’93 Habs weren’t this exciting — sure, they won the Cup, but they did it with a defense-first style.

  10. There is no doubt Demidov is a game changer. What he does for the power play, and for overtime play, is huge. This is the first time Montreal has had a real power play in decades.

They are the youngest team in the league. Demidov is 19 years of age. The future is bright.

  11. I can confirm, I started watching hockey during the Koivu era and this is by far the most talented lineup I've seen. All we're missing are Fowler, Hage and Zharovsky. Can't wait to see this team in 2027-2028 season.

  12. Every time MontemBum is in goal, I have that feeling the boys are gonna have to fight back to win.

  13. Stutz is a solid player. And seriously, can't blame Monty on second goal; but his positioning on the first and third Sens goals was amateurish. Dobson didn't do him any favours on the third, but that lack of commitment to the puck carrier means he has to stay on his post and protect the net short side. It's effectively as if he cheated off prematurely to say, "Here, shoot here. I'll move." on both instances. He needs some bench time for games and work on his shit while Dobes chews up starts – save double headers.

  14. I'm not going to blame Monty for the own goal tip in, but the other 2 goals were fucking ugly and any decent goalie would've been in a much better position to stop them. Overall, 3 goals in 17 shots was another horrible game for him and he hasn't earned the right to play more than once every 4 or 5 games.

  15. I want you to know that I hate the habs (fans) and as I sens fan I can't believe the audacity that comes from y'all. However, your hand job videos were a big part of me getting sucked into last season, maybe my most I've been into hockey ever, and I still look forward to what god forsaken glazing you're going to get up to after each one of our games. I don't think anyone else does it like you. I'll be watching the game and think to myself, ffs Junkie is going to clip that. I'll never buy a hockey card but I could cite the Miraj trading copy verbatim, know what I mean?

Cheers to you and your toilet bowl team — may the rivalry keep giving us meaningful games in November!

  16. Third goal, Montembeault cheats to the wide side. Often times I've done that… goal… Shows a lack of confidence. He did do better however. Not the kind of thing he will do once his confidence improves. I'm sure the win and less than 4 goals allowed will help 🤞

  17. I started following the Canadiens in 1956 and have seen many, many exciting seasons. This version of the Habs has me more excited than I've been in quite awhile.

  18. It's pretty early in the season, but I like how the Habs are playing. What I mean is, you can really see the high skill level!! And, I mean throughout the line up!! I love how solid we are in the minors!! Marty's got the boys playing super solid hockey, and if we can keep this pace through 40 games, when it gets into the finally 32 games, we should be pretty healthy!! I've been blessed to watch the Habs hoist that grail 9 times in my life!! And I've heart-breakingly waited for 32 long years……………, anyways, I'm so jacked about this current edition of the Habs, and seriously believe we're going to be in the Stanley Cup Conversation for decades to come!! GHG!!

  19. I haven't liked much of Veleno (guy looks like Temu Pacioretty) but to his credit, that was a well timed fight to kill the play.

    Love your vids, Junkie!

  20. When I was young my dad talked about the Habs of the late 60's early 70's and said "In those days, no matter the score, you knew that the boys would find a way to win". I think the 2025 Habs are bringing back that feeling. And it feels good! 😁

  21. You didn't show Robidas Holding Xhekaj on the bench when Mcdermid was wrestling Bolduc, Xhekaj was ready to jump on the ice at that moment ! Glad we got the PP and scored !

  22. Can we just say… Hockey Junkie's game summaries beat ANY sports news broadcast, by a MILE?! I mean… Come on! You're hilarious! We Habs fans need this excitement level. We've been waiting for DECADES! Thank you for adding this special touch to every game, man! Appreciate you!
