I think it was just a unfortunate hit, as he didnt raise his shoulder or elbow. To me imo he looked to hit him in his chest and him dipping down to pass, penalty sure, but a toss is a lil much. i agree with you but its a tough call to make as a players health is invovled. hope he recovers and is all right.

Has no one realized a Wild player accidentally kneed the Canes player after he was down? These kinds of hits are sort of a gray area. Even if it was to the chest, his head snapped back violently.
I think the thing that makes it a misconduct for me is you can see him raise his shoulder right as he’s going to hit Chatty. There’s clearly intent to go high and that’s what made him get the boot. I’m a Canes fan first and I love the Wild but you can’t let hits like that be the norm or there won’t be hockey players in the league without CTE.

Everyone is trying to find an angle of the hit that is misleading to make it appear dirty so they can virtue signal for phony morality points. Its Hockey people, grow some balls.
