Your analysis of buffalo is atrocious. Quinn just had 3 points vs your detroit red wings, the wings are a middle of the pack team according to most metrics. 7 games in the sabres have the #1 pk. If you throw out the first three games they are 3 and 1 vs decent teams and have looked good.
Igor for Berger
Detroit is not a legit team, they'll be at the bottom all year, they just had a good few games to start
Just to clarify a couple of things here…First, I read the LeBrun article on The Athletic and there was no mention of there being a "bidding war" for Chinakhov. His agent has been given permission to negotiate a trade with teams and Columbus is looking for a similar level player in return (aka a hockey deal). Next, the reason why no one had any intel on Chinakhov during his draft year was because it was during The Pandemic and scouts weren't traveling to Russia.
With that said, I think Detroit could probably provide a competitive offer in Berggren. He plays hard, has offensive skills and is defensively responsible. He seems like a good fit for Columbus's bottom six and Evanson's playing style. Basically he's not someone who would complain about playing time or usage and could use a fresh start. I read that TO would be offering Robertson, who wouldn't bring the same attributes as Berggren. Buffalo may be able to offer a better player than Berggren, because they really love to get back less than they give up in trades:)
