Jakub Dobes was VERY emotional in his post-game media availability, taking the entire blame for the less. Too hard on himself imo. But that's true passion. This one is not on Doby. He did what he could and we just gotta move on to Saturday
Matheson was weak on his man on the tying goal, soft! needed body position. cost us.. need more toughness around the net, good game though.
Struble took 2 stupid penalties.
This team has to figure out how to get points in regulation lol
They need help with coaching OPEN YOUR EYES AS A HOCKEY FAN NOT A MONTREAL FAN they do not know how to play shut down hockey they are lucky to have the points they do and they have to get harder to play against this coaching staff needs help
No killer instinct, can't keep leads,
On the third goal, Kopanen first got the puck from Demidov's stick, then passed it to Newhook and put the rebound in on a backhander. They never give Demidov his point, after all, he is in the rookie's race. Clearly Noesen's stick was about 6" above the puck, it was Demidov's stick that was pushing the puck to Kapanen, can the league review and allow him his assist?
Jesse somebody did take over the goals lead. Me.Crosby himself scores 2 and is at 11!

Similar result to the game Dobes played vs the Devils in the Bell last season. Both 4 GA and lose in OT on breakaways. At least the Habs battled and the PK was 5/5 this game vs a 31% PP. I was thinking the Habs would maybe get a point out of this and considering they are playing in "the swamp" which has been a tough place for them.

Newhook has got to keep it simple… he can't go 1 v 3 and think he'll be Lane Hutson! He should have turned back and kept possession… Hope he learns from this…

Watching the replay of the tying goal I can't understand why Dobes didn't cover the puck in the crease instead of attempting to clear it with his stick.
Newhook not getting the puck safely back to Demidov was brutal. A stupid and brutal play to try to do it all himself with his limited talent.

Habs always give teams to much room not four checking hard always staying back with the lead look at teams like Florida when they have the lead they still play like they're down a goal and four check hard
You can sense Dobes is very close to establishing himself. He's not afraid of being the numbe one, he wants it. Just needs more reps. Both him and Monty very average the last few games and yet the Habs still pick up points. If just one of them gets their game back they will be winning the majority of their games

horrible game back to back with the defense, goalies are not to blame
