Concerned for Dobes that if he is having trouble with his emotions off the ice then how is he managing them while on the ice.
Habs are really missing Cayden Ghule on defense ..!! Still think we need a big mean forward like a LUCIC TYPE player to put some fear in the other team ..!! Especially come playoff time ..!!

The Habs were penalized for one-sixth of the game. No wonder they were significantly outshot. The referees were "off" again.
We could use an Armia as a shutdown specialist.

@Marco d’Amicor I second the switch Demidov to Dach and Bolduc duo to make a brand new offensive trio.
The general formula to make the playoffs is to smoke the non-playoff teams and roughly split against the playoff contenders. Even though Markstrom was poor they got a point. Mission accomplished.

I totally disagree that the Habs 'stole a point'. Sure at times they were outplayed, but the Devils are a good team. The Habs pushed the play just as much as the Devils, 5-v-5, and while it doesn't show up in the shots metric, they had as many 'high danger' chances as the Devils. The difference shows up in the PK as the Habs were given more 'chinzy' penalties than the Devils, that's 6 PK minutes to deal with and trying to recover momentum after a PK isn't easy. Frankly I was happy overall with the Habs play though obviously there's still work to be done. GO HABS!

The Dach/Bolduc line has been my 'go to' line since the start of the season and now more than ever it is obvious. It becomes more obvious in a game when one of your top 4 players is only playing 10 minutes! That's nuts. Demidov played just over 1 minute in the last 18 minutes of the game, how is that even possible? Fundamentally if your 'go to' PK/defensive players are Newhook+Kapanen than that is not the line for Demidov. Demidov has demonstrated he's 'responsible enough' defensively such that you don't need Newhook/Kapanen to make up for him. Dach has picked up his game significantly since coming back from the brief stint on the IL, defensively & offensively he's a monster. Put Demidov on that line & let them off the leash. It isn't a panic situation but the longer Demidov is only playing maybe 11 minutes a game the faster the fans will turn on Marty. GO HABS!
As a Devils fan, I’m split on this. Yes, I think the Devils played the better game and I was personally frustrated until the last 90 seconds that it looked like they were going to come out of the game with nothing. However, I think the Canadiens earned their point. 5 PKs (even tho a few were shorter), lots of key shot blocking, and Dostal’s great play.
Just a few games ago you guys were commenting on how good Struble+Hutson are together, all of a sudden Struble is crap. Yes he was given 2 penalties, only one that was of the 'obvious' variety (the highsticking), the supposed 'hooking' was a bad call, if that's what counts for 'hooking' then the refs should have been handing them out all game. Struble is playing fine, mistakes happen.
My question re: Dobes is "where's his teammates to pick him up?". That interview was difficult to watch, not because of Dobes nearly breaking down but because we didn't see or hear anything about his teammates taking the responsibility on themselves and supporting Dobes like they've been supporting Monty. They can't let Dobes take on losses to that level or he'll end up in the Player Assistance program in no time. GO HABS!
D'Amico could you PLEASE given an example when talking about trading for Kadri (or any player really)? It doesn't do any of us any good for you to keep saying 'the asks are astronomical'. There's no reference point for what 'astronomical' means at any given time. You're an 'inside man' here who is supposedly tied in, if you're under some belief that you can't share 'inside information' then fine don't share what you've heard, but you should be able to make up an example for reference. Besides it would make for more lively debate and who doesn't like to debate about hockey trades? GO HABS!
Kadri is a bum who brings drama , he like 46% career on faceoffs. Sorry but the last thing the habs need is Kadri🤦♂🤦♂

Let's say it , pull the freaking band aid NEWHOOK COST US THE GAME PERIOD ! He has been responsible for 4 direct goals against us !!!! In the last 7 , time to say it !! Newhook, valeno , kapanen are 4th liners ! I don't care he's a sausage , put Gallagher, bolduc , Anderson with demidov or even the equipment manager , but please get these 4th liners of the 2 and 3rd line !!!!
