Went out to eat on Saturday and the table over had a kid's birthday party. The Rangers game was on the big screen. When Rempe dropped the gloves with Reaves, the kids were like, "Look! Rempe! It's Rempe!" I don't think they were even paying attention to the game before that. The league should take notice.
Hopefully he cools it on fighting (for a while, at least). He's grown on me, so I don't wanna see him getting permanent injuries on his face. Or worse, becoming another CTE case.
Just to all the obnoxious American fans that start chanting USA USA when your team plays a Canadian team, Rempe and most of the players on your damn NHL team are Canadians.
Kid comes in the league with some pep in his step, full of piss and vinegar. Wants to stay with the Big Club, ready to help his team and the fans love him. Salt of the earth kind of kid right there.
Not quite sure yet how tough Rempe really is. He is big, but that doesn't necessarily make a fighter. The Reaves fight wasn't exactly a decision, nor is Reaves still considered a league tough guy. Xhekaj tossed Reaves around like a bag of potatoes. But, Ranger fans can wish.
Fast forward 9 months later and this guy is a complete ass clown. His 5 minutes of fame is over and his soon to be a memory in the NHL. You can't waist a roster spot on a guy who can't skate or shoot or play defense just because he can fight.

Rempe is out there giving 100% at all times. He's a very physical player and given the proper coaching and playing time is going to be a great player.
