Stammer is a goal scorer, I will give him that, but that's where it ends……Stammer has changed his game to standing around and waiting for the puck. Stammer is 35. He makes 8 mil per for the next 3 yrs incl. this year…….He is no way being aggressive or physical…..I would rather keep Nick Robertson. I do not think Nashville will keep any salary……. I really do not think stamkos is a fit. ….just my opinion.

This is a coin flip, could go either way..i think Stammer still has something left to give if on a good team, but right now he is stuck on a team doing poorly. I am not at all sure they could put a deal together that suits both teams. Might be wise to remember that Stamkos is the same age as Tavares, who seems to be playing well again this season.

Not for Robertson. He's slowed down a lot and not worth that much at all. 2 guys and a pick with retained salary by a lot, sure. Worth a shot. Only for his power play. Otherwise I wouldn't go for older and slower.

Most comments here show the stupidity of most Leaf fans. Stamkos is still an impact player. For the right price and contract retention by Nashville this hometown boy would only improve the team.
Leafs could get him, Crosby, and Victor Hedman and still not contend for the cup the way they've been playing this year.
I think this trade would be exactly what Trey Living would do. Acquiring someone who will add very little to the Team. I love Stamkos but he’s way past his best before date. Nothing is going to make the Leafs great…so start your rebuild now. I am sure there are some Team’s would give away the farm (prospects and/draft picks) for Captain Heartless. Start a quiet bidding war. There is no chance in hell this Team will challenge for the Prize so really, why pay millions for a washed up Star. Those who Trey Living report to need to start caring about this Hockey Club…the FANS deserve it. Captains Lead, bleed and they HATE losing. Captain Heartless does not share these attributes. So, before his reputation gets worse…start the process. Oh, and get a legitimate Coach and GM for God sakes. Gerrard Gallant is free to Coach…I’d go through the wall for him.
No this would be the Rangers getting JT Miller. The last gasp of a desperate team on the way down, only Miller is 32 and had 70points last year. Stamkos is 35 and had 53 points last year and seems to have fallen off a cliff this year. Trading for Stamkos is an admission by management that they think this line-up is done.
This is not a Stanley Cup winning team and Stamkos is not the player he has been.
Stamkos at his best duplicates what matthews provides.

Stamkos is not the answer At all. Ever. I think Nick Robertson has changed his game and if utilized a little better he could be a solid player. Jarncock and Kampf can go though.
