This was a frustrating loss, mainly because it was very winnable. We should have capitalized more when we were dominating the game in the first half, and we shouldn't have taken out foot off the gas after their first goal.
That said, that last goal from the Stars was an absolute load of horse sh*t. There was a blatant trip on Cole Smith by Rantinen that the ref just didn't call. That hurt our breakout during the Stars power play and the next drive into our zone, they scored the game winner. If that gets called, that last drive never happens, and their power play is over. Thanks refs. They didn't lose us the game, but they helped
I can't agree this time. They did not look better. Both games had glimmers of hope, but looked more like Tuesday's team instead of Thursday. Passes to nowhere, or the other team. Stupid penalties. Unnecessary icing. Missing wide open shots. Guys STILL tripping over each other. Even Forsberg is getting frustrated. At least we have O'Reilly.
In our house it's, "Biscuit in the net, biscuit in the pet".
Stamkos was a part of the shootout. He was the third shooter and missed his shot…. Take that for what it’s worth
“Stamkos is not the scapegoat for everything that is wrong with the Nashville Predators.” That’s right. It’s Barry Trotz
Go Stars:)
I wish Steven Stamkos would hop into a Tampa suitcase and take his contract with him.
