In this episode of ‘Up in the Blue Seats’, the Rangers’ baffling struggles at Madison Square Garden take center stage. Six games in, the numbers are… shocking. From nearly zero time playing with a lead, to 1 goal in 15 home periods, and a power-play that is dead last in the entire NHL….nothing seems to be going right for the Rangers at home. Mollie and Brian break down what’s going wrong, why it’s happening, and whether there’s actually light at the end of the tunnel for the Blueshirts.

2 horrible key trades. buch to st.louis never got a replacement and now krieds to ducks and now looking for a scorer/net front presence
How's Larry doing?
Rangers are retooling, they are not making the playoffs this year.
Yeah, I’m upset that’s an understatement and how crappy arranges are playing so far this year I know they’ve played better in a lot of games. They deserve to have better results than they have but the bottom line you have to finish the place and the space at the Rangers don’t have a lot of players who have finish ability they have some, but they don’t have a lot and the ones that are finishers aren’t doing the job. The other thing that I’m seeing and this is my opinion she Starkin yeah his numbers look good but the other night those two shots from the point by Carolina he didn’t even stick his head out from in front of the Carolina players body to see where the puck was coming from all of a sudden you went and went into the net. He didn’t even move his head. I think that she Sturken is getting beat more easily this year, uncertain goals than he has in the past I wonder and I’m just saying this I wonder if he’s having problem with his vision because he isn’t looking for the park and he doesn’t see it long shots from 35 or 40 feet shouldn’t be beating him on the upper side, especially when he’s not looking for the puck and all of a sudden it’s past him and he reacts after the fact so I think there’s some problem with him possibly with his vision. I don’t know. I’m just speculating.
You guys do a good job we appreciate both of you, Molly and Bryan and actually maybe it’s better without Larry cause it seemed like Larry’s always looking chomping at the bit to get into make a comment and he takes over the podcast so maybe it’s actually better that Larry and yes I hope Larry feels better and I hope he gets well and whatever physical ailment he’s got I hope he gets and feels OK soon
Brian, I love you but can you please, please take this podcast from a place where I do not have to stare at a TB Lightning photo! Molly, help us out here.
Laf should be sitting in the stands
They need to rebuild from scratch
Honestly, I'm not concerned.
Sometimes annoyed by games like the Hurricanes game, and all of their home games, LoL.
However, I see Sully and his staff building a cohesive team tough, physical, defense first transition game: into the offensive attack structure/system and culture.
What I have wanted to see for years.
This too will pass, and the goals will come.
I can see what they are building with our Rangers.
I love seeing our youngsters: Rempe ( although he's injured right now), Edstrom, Laba, and Robertson having the opportunity to develope and establish themselves as Rangers.
I love seeing the still so very young Braden Schneider: beginning to take that next step and establish himself as one of the dominant defensemen on our Rangers D-Core.
And now we'll get a look at Jaroslav Chmelar ( Hema-Losh) get his first NHL Game Start!!!
I'm very happy with the performances from Borgen, Saucy, Fox, Raddyish, Carrick and Brodzinsky.
Gavrikov is starting to settle in to playing the way I've watched him play with the Kings, for so many years. Gotta' love this!
In the long view: Gavrikov is gonna' be so important for this team. Already is, to a large degree.
Captain Miller is starting to rise and step forward.
I fully expected there to would be ups and downs, problems to address to be rectified, and I knew this would be a learning curve and process. Never expected and immediate turnaround and gratification.
The goals will come. Changes/moves/trades will still be made.
A lot of good progress and positives to be happy and enthusiastic about.
Did I mention the goals will come???? They will!!
Let's Go Rangers!! !!!
Thanks for the episode! Good job, Brian and Molly!!
Get well, Larry!!
These two chuckle heads couldn't have their finger any further away from the pulse. It's always sunshine and rainbows with them. Larry get healthy and get back soon, these too are incapable of being objective.
Dolan's puppets are terrified to call out Panarin's last sexual harassment scandal and payout to another employee. Giggling Mollie was so scared
for her salary she gave a criminal the good guy award. Don't worry NYI are coming to Knicks house as home team Saturday with thousands of our fans and Knicks fans who get freebie hockey throwaways.
Not poor play or not enough “looks” but poor shot placement and finishing – little to no deflections or goalie screening. This is not an “I told you so” but in Kreider, you lost speed, goals, and more importantly the heart of the team. Get him back – we have players to trade for sure. Can you get team psychologist and mental performance coaches Frederick and Julia Allain? Or maybe they’re on holiday?
Laf needs to go. Outside of that they are playing well just not finishing. I know data isn't everything but it's showing that we fixed the D issues. I feel like once we get a few in the faucet will turn on. Hope I'm right
You watch: Trochek's return will turn things around decisively.
Heard Bread shaved his head again.
New York Jets taking strays
Um excuse me but if you are getting chances and all you can do us hit the logo of the goalie, then you suck. Ok? Clearer? This has been an issue for 2 plus years. It's not bad luck or any weirdness. Either you can finish or you can't. Whew. 🏒
Jacob Trouba has more goals and points than Panarin lol
Mollie did you have a lot of time on your hands to finds all those stats ☺️
They are generating chances… but ALL garbage! Quality chances? Not really. Easy looks when they even have the chance to get away from the boards. I can't believe they gutted a team that almost made it to Stanley Cup final to a team akin to the Sabres. smh. They need to be dangerous entering the zone, they need to be quicker, transition much better, defend much better. They need to force the other team to play THEIR game, not fall into all their defense. Most shots right into the goaltender's chest. Do NOT keep doing what you are doing. It's not working. Get quality shots. Play PROFESSIONAL hockey like you are getting paid millions per year! Please. So tired of this. Just brutal. Also tired of hearing about the team's mentality… are they being sensitive again? Are their feelings hurt? Are they frustrated? I don't care.. PLAY! WIN! SCORE even! I can defend against the Rangers! Kick the puck back and forth around the board, try to set someone up right in front of the net, pass it from the back of the net, hope it gets to his stick and hope he can actually connect to make contact, then how about accuracy? Like the 4th line… amazing pressure in the O zone with absolutely no finish or talent to get it to the back of the net. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! Also, the hype around JT??? WOW! He's not even notificable on the ice! Troch should be wearing the "C" . Okay, I'm done complaining 🙂 – Molly, Brian.. love you both! Love and hope to Larry, hope he is doing well.
