Too bad Barkov didn't pull a Hubbie. I just didn't feel like skating today. Season saving day off. Well good luck to the rest of the league. More injuries to come. This is the rest of up year and go back to the cup next year. Still a dynasty 3 cups in 4 years. Now if they win a cup again it will be insane with all the injuries. Ekblad is due for half a season injury as well.
By any chance, does NYR want to trade Trochek? Would love to see him back here if there's a way to get him. Not sure how the new salary cap rules work with all the LTIR no longer being available even though, they aren't available.

Obviously it's terrible news that Barkov blew-out his knee. That being said, I think there is a MAJOR silver lining with this situation. This is the motivation the Cats need to go out there and compete like hell this season. Three trips to the finals. Two Cups in a row. They said themselves how hard it was to find midseason motivation last year. Well guess what? They've got motivation in spades now. Time to get angry. Time to get determined. Time for the Cats to find a gear they didn't even know they had.

Terrible news. But I rather something like this happen now than at the middle or end of the season while trying to fight for a playoff spot. No Barky & no Chucky.
Now that 3rd line becomes even more valuable assuming Paul keeps it together.
We have the pieces to compensate , although no one can truly replace what Barkov brings to the team.
Praying for Barky (and Chucky and Nosek too) to make a complete and speedy recovery. Cats have 9 lives, God willing, the team will continue to successfully overcome every obstacle. P.S.: Most sad for Barky if he can't captain Finland's hockey team in the Olympics.

His injury did not only made the Panthers season tougher. That injury basically destroyed Finland's olympic hopes aswell.

Lundell has big skates to fill but I think he will do an admirable job. I am more concerned how they handle the centers on the 3rd and 4th lines with Nosek also being out for quite a while.
