even if they won more OT games, they would only be 2-3 points ahead, so the season is still infront of them. that wouldnt be that case if they were 5 games under .500 right now.
Itâs simple. The two most important Sabres that need to lead this team into better days ahead are Norris and UPL. Norris is fast becoming the Sabres version of Matt Milano and the whole UPL thing is a mystery. Letâs stop sugar coating things with âwe got a point out of itâ. The reality is itâs early but the Sabres are holding on the cliff by their fingernails. This upcoming, 4 game roadtrip will not decide the season but itâs crucial.
St louis has goalie problems ? Maybe St louis will try and leave with Colton Ellis . Im good with the trade as long as they OVERPAY BIG TIME . Sewage pit aka Toronto boy Jordan Kyrou for Ellis đđ
The Sabres always seem to lead the league in receiving cheap shots, but not this year. I think it's becuase of the presence of Geertson. Having a goon nobody wants to fight helps the team.
both ostlund and rosen feels like they are playing not to make any mistakes, rather than try to impact the game. which is good if you are trying to win close game and all of that right now.. but scouting review of those guys will be misleading. connor bedard was -35 his first seasons, if ostlund and rosen was minus players, they would play in the SHL next season.
Tage and Norris had chemistry in preseason. I'm thinking IF ( that's a big if) Norris can stay healthy for longer than one game Tage's game should start firing up.
Solid episode again. Thanks for the cadence. You two should start making game predictions so we can all savage you when you're wrong. Hey, it will help the algorithm. Just a thought.
Great ep guys. You are great at breaking down different aspects of each situation discussed. Golden takes on the three kids with context. Kris great at pointing out each playerâs varied development. Just from a physical standpoint, these guys donât grow at the same time. I think Adams should have been gone long ago & one of the reasons is the Norris trade. But you are so right to point out that this isnât Norrisâ fault. In preseason he looked like a plus player and is obviously talented. Itâs disappointing that he canât play. But he is a human being who is working hard. Awesome take on Peterka too. đ¤Łđ Thanks for a great pod.
Lucky to get the point, but at least so far this year they are getting some games they would have lost in regulation last year to OT and salvaging a point. Those points turn out to be very important. Just ask the Islanders. Having said that, they were badly outplayed by Utah…couldn't keep up with their speed but also had a hard time making tape to tape passes. The more time that goes by, the mor or more evident it becomes that one thing they are badly in need of would help them going forward is a bona-fide #1 centerman. I'm not sure that is who Norris can be, even when he's healthy because …well, cuz we haven't seen enough of him yet because of his injuries. But the Sabres need someone at #1 center who is a playmaker, an above-average puck handler, and someone who can win at least 50%+ of their faceoffs consistently. Until they acquire/find that player they will continue to limp along south of the playoff line.

I was thinking the same thing about Rosen and Ostland.

I was hoping for some clarification about Levi! Is he really looking for a trade or not?

Tage Thompson has never nor will he ever be a player that drives play. He is not a great player he is a good player.
Bensen has zero goals!! My God a first line player that never scored more than 11 goals. Come on guys!
Owen Power is a bust. Matthew Schaefer is elite at 18 and doesnât need seven seasons to âdevelopâ
The frequency of ads on this channel are brutal.

Geersten is exactly what we need on the roster, maybe not playing every game or big minutes but we need a tough guy fire sure.
Power being soft is a problem. That needs to be addressed.
I wake up at 6 am and look at the clock and think, theyâre recording right now arenât they

Keller's play to end it in OT reminded me of everything we don't have in someone like Tage

Hockey players are kind of petty that way not kind of they are
stop hating on Mason Geertsen, they needed toughness.
