@Philadelphia Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers are a self driven team under Rick Tocchet. But are there trades to be made?

On today’s show, Russ & Rachel look at the aftermath of the victory for the Philadelphia Flyers over the Montreal Canadiens. How are they tackling the issues that allowed the Habs back in the game? How are they rightly or incorrectly trying to get Matvei Michkov going and is the top power play an option for him?

Then we preview Flyers vs Nashville Predators in the context of a panic selling mode for Nashville. Could they fire Andrew Brunette? Or is a Steven Stamkos trade in the works and could the Flyers be a partner in such a deal? We also check in on Max Westergard at the Five Nations U20 tournament and Porter Martone’s progress so far.

  1. Russ is 100% true, tocchet is playing dangerously with Michkov, he don't care…but he should cause he is our franchise player…

  2. Every player needs a line of players to stick together. Period. Look at the Cates line and every other team. It's like a friggin psyop in Philly. No wonder their top offensive players struggle. Wake up Flyers.

  3. Grabbing a 3 to 0 lead is great. But letting the other team catch up that's bad. Still think Tocchett is hurting Michkov. That being said Tocchetts system really doesn't seem to be popular with the players. 😮❤ I truly believe that Michkov should be on a line with Zegras or Coots.😢😢😢❤❤

  4. In Tocchet's defense, Michkov has thrown some really bad cross-ice passes late in games that have led to costly breakaways. How much of that can Tocchet allow? He should be measured by the same yardstick as everyone else on the team. I don't think this is about what line he is on.

  5. Stamkos has 1100 games under his belt. Of course he’s not producing on a mediocre team. He’s battled injuries and is getting old. Not surprising. He’s a 35 year old center man who has played a hard level of hockey for 18 seasons.

    I hate this Tippett trade talk. It makes no sense.
