crosby has had 3 or 4 fights now in the NHL and has yet to throw a punch. Dude is scared to fight and will only do it if he can get a jump on the guy and tie up and wrestle

The linesmen doing this are a problem. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them get severely injured doing this one of these times. They are asking for it at this point.

That's a captain. Even if his team leads, even if he's the best player on the ice, you don't f*** with his teammates. Say what you will about Sid, this fight says a lot about him. Was it an awkward fight? Maybe. But it doesn't matter: the guy will stand up for his buddies.

Not much of a scrap. Gotta give Crosby some credit though. He's usually more reluctant to drop the mitts with anyone. Many including me think it's because he's fearful of what would happen to him. So the fact that he did, I'm shocked. He should do it more often when he feels compelled to protect his teammates. Not saying he should every time as that would obviously be stupid. I know I wouldn't to go scraping with a guy like Lucic.

Stupid ref. Crosby was standing up for a teammate just like any other player would. I know they don’t want him getting hurt, but they should’ve let him fight.

It’s so frustrating that the refs always jump right in whenever Sid is mixing it up. League is protecting him, even from himself when he’s trying lead by example.
