    Zharovsky has insane anticipation and that's his best quality. He'll need to improve his stride and edges in a major way to become an effective offensive NHLer. According to the KHL site, he's increased his weight to 176lbs (80kg).

    I sort of have empathy for Grav having to weigh in on Demi vs Zharo right now. If he didnt comment his channel would freak out but really the analysis is this simple: Demidov is better now because of what he did… BUT really the narrative will be determined by how he finishes and as we already know hes in a very favorable position with better deployment, team situation, etc. Outcome+Narrative:
    30 or less? Train Wreck- Thats anywhere between a hot start he couldnt sustain OR an unmitigated disaster. More to the point when you compare it to Demis 49- it puts him well out of his league…
    40-48? Gravs pitch here- Make no mistake- finishing in this range is nothing short of heroic BUT this also sets the narrative in place that hes not quite at Demidovs level- that hes not quite as good with the dangles, his hockey IQ isnt on par- this finish cements that idea- fairly or not…
    49-55? Re-calculating- IF he can finish at or above what Demidov did- the draft position starts to lose credence. The proof is in the pudding as they say and if he can score more on a worse team the scouts/pundits/analysts will desperately scramble to re-evaluate. Some will stay stoic and insist he had a better opportunity while others will take the contrarian route and insist that he was "always better"
    56+? Kucherov 2.0- I love my hockey community but gaddang is it ever one of the most "what have you done for me lately" communioties out there- even moreso than most sports I find. Tangent aside- if he finsihes this high- the Demidov comps will droip- he'll be views as as good or better- rightly or wrongly.
    In the end I was a huge Demidov fan and an early tire pumper- but at this point even Im asking people to tap the breaks lol! bI suspect Zharovskies hype will be similar. I think theyre both FANTASTIC players- but I also dont think ONE season is a great way to measure what a guys full blown projection is. Lets see how the season goes (itll be a fun watch!)- but rampinmg up expectations at this point is just going to vreat disappointment. That said- this COULD be the best 2nd round pick weve seen since Lane Huitson (massive applause!!!) or Logan Stankoven (muted sporadic clapping)!

    AHL next year. Would like to see him on a smaller rink. He can build some chemistry with Hage in Laval next year.

    It look like the habs saw what Demidov was missing when he came to Montreal and they relay the info to Zharovsky's agent/coach/team what need to be add to the tools needed when coming to the NHL

    Been a Montreal fan for 60 years. I am happy they are turning things around, yet part of me still yearns for The Flying Frenchmen to obtain some quality Frenchmen.

    Hawks not taking Demidov was dum. Kancerov at age 21 is leading in goals. But at 5,9 meh.

    Its hard to tell since we dont get to see much of him so far but Zharovski seems to be cut from the same cloth as Demigod and his hand looks to be as sharp as his skating. Cant wait to see more of him and of course to see him go in the CH jersey!

    i dont think we drafted Zharovsky to be a 50 point player. We drafted him to be a 70+ point player and he could become that hes lethal.
