As an Oiler fan since 1972, I can honestly say that this is the worst contract in club history. I even wonder if (because he gets me the puck) McDavid made Re-signing Bouchard a prerequisite to him extending. It’s the only logical explanation that I can think of. They should have let him walk and spent that $10.5M more wisely.
It’s not just Flames fans that will be laughing, most of the Oiler supporters ,who don’t live and die with the team, are laughing as well.

They need Hyman. Period. Everyone knows what happened. The Oilers win the Cup last year if Hyman played. Try to argue against that. Hyman was on absolute fire and then the injury. And no suspension to Marchment of the Stars. When Hyman plays, the whole Oilers team plays. When he doesn't, they don't. Get it? Bouchard ain't bad therefore, and that's with Hyman!
