The shaft actually steepened in the first part of his downswing, which happens a lot of the times when you drop your hands straight down in a line that would extend down to your feet, Hogan and Snead hands actually moved their hands more out to a spot between the feet and the ball, while the shaft shallowed.
An elegant swing. And he got great training playing at Texas Tech in Lubbock. The wind is so strong and ground so hard out there itโs like playing a links course every day. Proud of him, WreCkEm! ๐ต
You love how far the club has traveled in his backswing with little shoulder turn? His shoulders turned a good deal which is what you are supposed to do. Otherwise you are disconnecting and just folding your arms across your upper torso.
You noticed that this swing does not put a whole lot of stress on the back so he should be able to repeat this even into his 40s. This is a long-term swing made for a long career.
What's even better is that he plays so quickly on every shot. He walks in, gets aligned & swings. No time for swing thoughts or any other distraction. Everyone should learn to play this way. From the time he steps in until the swing starts is no more than 5 seconds.

The first noticed this bloke about three years ago on the European tour. Effortless power and a silky smooth.swing … a world-class talent, for sure.
Is there somewhere this stuff is explained? What is Hand Shadowing?
Turn off the sound watch his knees and hips. Shoulders closed on the backswing has nothing to do with how his arms slot on plane coming down
He has almost no hip turn going back and right knee stays flexed….very interesting ….

Only 1 way to shallow the club. These idiots all have 100 different wrong ways.

Why are you showing the 3rd best driver of the golf ball? Why not show the #1 guy?๐คจ
It's not LUDDvig, it's Loodvig.
Can someone please explain to me what "keeping your shoulders closed" means?
โLud-vigโ lol. My manโฆitโs โLood-vigโ

that elbow plane is horrible! he plays off the shaft plane like Hogan, Snead, Scheffler do. That shows him way into out!!!!
I like when the actual player explains what he's doing

The shoulders determine the swing plane. If your shoulders & hips are open you better have a bowed left wrist & a lot of rotation, via DJ
only 120 club speed?!
Wow! What insightful and detailed analysis. Lol. Very proud of you.
i suppose if you look at Rahm who thrashes away every time its a decent smoother swing
What do you mean by hand shadowing?
Who are numbers 1 and 2?
