The New York Islanders fell to Boston 4-3 in a shootout but need to protect Matthew Schaefer ASAP

  1. Boston is the kind of team that will literally fight their way into the game, and they did it last time we faced them as well. Not sure why Zadorov didn't get 5 minutes for that, but I think it is great that we jumped him from all sides.

I am not sure having an enforcer would discourage opposition. They know Schaefer is the real deal, and he also showed it, going to goal to kill the game twice, getting an assist. I think the team has showed we will not stand idly by when they target him, and show the entire team is ready to swarm offenders fearlessly. That is good enough in my book.

Feel we deserved to win the game, but Boston capitalised on a few mistakes and we were punished once again with some soft penalties. We are getting better and better.

  2. I wonder if they could get Rempe or Tom Wilson. I don’t particularly care for either buy they are among the most intimidating

  3. We are playing better but last night perfectly exposed two things: we lack good defensive defensemen … and we have a shortage of skilled forwards. That's two shoot-outs that expose our ability to snipe.
