Wotherspoon physical abuse of an official – Tough Call Recommendation

Parker Wotherspoon got a little too aggressive pulling away from the linesperson to get at Tyson Foerster.

  1. You want to give Wotherspoon 3 games for abuse but want to give Foerster 5 games for a baby slash?? My goodness.

  2. Absolutely should not be a suspension. There is clearly zero intent to hit the official and he may have not even been completely aware that was an official. He was focused on his opponent.

  3. I hope this gets the penguins fired up and to constantly wins. No close call games. No puck control. Not seeing Sid in the shootout was sad

  4. Many missed the FACT that Crosby had come off the bench, prior to being given the OK to do so by the officials, to discuss the situation with the officials, then entered the fray. This is a DIRECT violation of various section of Rule10.4. Read the rule and make your choice as to what penalty should have been called. Given Crosby's status as one of the league's poster players, his obvious penalty was once again ignored.

  5. He shoved the official on purpose, he even got his stick involved. He knew the Zebra was there.
3 Games. Easy call. Send the message to the players: no touch!

  6. I ref hockey a lot and there've been times players bump me to yell at me over something or other. Usually, it's my partner(s) who has to tell me, "Dude, he made physical contact with you, aren't you going to kick him out?"

    Oh, yeah! 😂😂😂
