Why waste a roster spot for a locker room guy? This team has access to McInnis, Pronger and Jackman to give pointers to defensemen and still have Federko, Hull and Steen to lean on for offense. Use these former greats to set a locker room attitude
Lucic said he pulled his groin before playing in his first preseason game. He’s never had a groin injury. Army has to be thinking long term with that in mind.

I would not be surprised to learn, if it eventually comes out, that this whole “Lucic experiment “ was vetting and grooming for an eventual coaches or front office spot when Steen takes over. I know Monty has a fondness for the guy, and is proof himself that second chances can work.
