  1. Congratulations Toronto, I knew you would be just fine without Marner this year, only one game away from becoming World Champs……oops, my bad, wrong sport!!! Go Knights Go!

  2. My dad went to Philly to watch a Leafs game.

    he wore a white jersey

he left the game with it covered in blood and they almost flipped his car

    lmfao.

  3. Early on Makar was asked if he splurged on anything with his money. He said he stopped by 7-11 to get a Slurpee. That culminated in he and his brother drinking a Slurpee from The Cup. That his notion of splurging. I don't think he going to ask for a huge bag. That not the type of guy he is.

  4. This show is unwatchable and "unlistenable" now. Its just turned into Elliotte talking the whole time and Kyle saying ohhh. They aren't on the same level. Elliotte is 55 years old and Kyle is 32. Why would they put them together?

They need someone who will challenge Elliotte and who will talk over him sometimes. AANNNDD someone who has balls.

Kyle is way too coy to be a main character in this show. And he's just too basic of a man.

He needs to go back to interviewing players after periods and doing little arena insights between commercial breaks. Because this isn't it!

  5. Hand foot mouth is the worst. My son gave it to me when he was young and I was in agony. My whole body was itching. My kid's around his chin was just all red and rashy and on top of that was teething so then that red skin was being dried out by the spit….yuck.

  6. I think one thing that's interesting about Utah embracing the Mammoth is the fact that the players also embraced Utah from the jump. Going back to that opening intro party two years ago to an up-and-coming star signing for long-term with Utah is the antithesis of what Utah has experienced from their other professional sport. It's no secret that the NBA views Utah as Siberia, and Utah fans consistently see the shots taken at their market. Players talk bad about Utah openly, star players won't sign there (Deron Williams, Gordon Hayward, Donovan Mitchell), and still Utah wants to love the Jazz. Now the Mammoth are there, and the players openly talk about how they love it, players from other markets are openly impressed, and the player's association is giving flowers to Utah. It's a STARK contrast from how Utah has been historically treated and viewed as a professional sports market.

  7. A bunch of these contracts aren’t going to end well. Not that long ago, 5M contracts became a problem and the cap hasn’t doubled yet…

  8. Stamkos has to change his game to be effective still. He's clearly not the goal scorer he was before.

A player I'd compare with is Ovi, where he was the prime scorer in Washington, but could never get over the hump in the playoffs. He changed his game slightly, passed more, relied more on his team and won in 2018. Stammer needs to maybe change his perspective on his role on the Preds. Maybe he becomes that O'Reilly defensive two-way center? Maybe he takes on a Patrick Kane / Toews role and mentors a young group of kids (not a lot of youth in Nashville, but that could prompt him to be traded)

  9. Clearly the Mikko situation was unfortunate. Until we have the facts, its alot of speculation, at least on fan's parts. Im a huge Avs and Mikko fan so im still not happy about it. But Necas and Jack Drury have been great fits and sometimes, especially under a salary cap, it's more about what makes the team better, not just the top line. If we equal or close production from Necas at a less cost and have a very solid 3 C thrown in, ill take it. Depth is important. Necas is also very talented and i think people are seeing that now, if they didnt while he was in Carolina. His shot is insane and he has some very sneaky vision and passing. Throw in his speed, thats perfect for Colorado's style

  10. Best take on necas I’ve heard. Thank you, THANK YOU for not rehashing the past. It was a different landscape last year, what makes sense today is signing Necas and I think it is a fair contract.

I’m unbelievably excited to watch him with this core for 8 years. From a competitive standpoint and pure entertainment.
