Absolutely! Kapanen has been good but adding Zacha would be ideal.LHC in his prime. He’d really take pressure off Suzuki. Wins draws kill penalties. He Dach Bolduc is heavy group.

Honestly I don't think we NEED to make a big in season trade for a 2C. Kirby is still working his way back to full health and game shape.. I think he's going to really turn the corner soon. Kapanen is already a solid 3C at worst. I'm a BIG NO on Kadri, Zacha intrigues me a bit, but I just can't see the Bruins trading him to us unless we gave up a rediculous package in return… which would be silly on our part. I say we ride with what we have, and then near trade deadline give it some thought. With any luck, along the way, what we already have may prove to be the best options anyway.

Zacha is looking for an extension. That don't bode well with the team moving forward! Hage going to be ready in a couple and Dach is going to get better as the year goes on if he stays healthy. Stay the course and don't trade away future! We're at a perfect spot in our development

Ryan O'Reilly wanted out from Toronto because of the pressure playing there. Is it reasonable to believe the pressure in Montréal is less than Toronto? Be realistic. It might not be as much psycho ward as Toronto but it's not far.
Stick with the group you have unless Crosby or a good young C become available. Kapanen will only get better. Dach is playing well defensively, which is a surprise. Now he just needs to produce.

Team Doesn’t need a number 2 nearly as much as everyone seems. The disrespect to kapanen is infuriating. He’s solid defensively. He’s fast. He can shoot. He’s over 50% from the draw and tho his stats haven’t jumped off the board lately he’s been on the ice making plays that lead to goals. He’s a details guy with a ton of upside on a line with star rookie who’s also developing. So develop the chemistry because getting Zacha won’t be easy and will fetch a larger price then we think. I like Zacha but it’s a long shot. Can we stop the trade talk and talk about our actually team who’s on fire btw?!

They are at the point where they could be 3-0 or 0-3. Philly a trap. Jersey and Utah could certainly beat them on any given night, but this team can beat anybody, as we all know. Are they there yet, so early? Gonna be an interesting week to the fans and Marty.
we dont need a 2c, we have an elite 1C and three very solid 2/3Cs. no point in messing up the chemistry in a young group thats clearly shown they can win

My only concern with these names thrown about in trade talk is 'chemistry' between the players off the ice more than on the ice. How they bond as a team is huge.. Kadri doesn't seem like a Habs fit, imo.

Late hello from Thailand
Too old, and Zacha seems slow and mediocre, …Kappie is already as good. Be patient with these young fellas. Habs should get to a wild card again..and have great young players still developing. They have good prospects on the cusp as well, Hage, 6-1 has muscled up to 200 lbs now. Hughes has done well, but one can see bigger 19 yr old kids like Becket Sennecke and Cayden Lindstrom that they passed over. Habs need playoff size plus skill. Koivu and Hage will be buzzing in camp next year.

Hot take : what about Shane Wright or fantili ( both are centers, 2022/23 draft classes , mtl would have to give up a 1st and 2nd or 1st and 3rd and 4th. Maybe condotta or beck going out
