all i hear from this guy is excuses and more excuses for a coach whos supposed to be defense first our defense looks like they dont know what to do at all, our 10.5 million dollar defenseman is one of the biggest liabilities on our backend and ekholm is being effected by it, he said when he first got here hes going to make players accountable for their actions well he did that to nurse but when it comes to bouchard he can keep doing the same mistake over and over and being weak on his stick or giving the puck away or not covering his man and the guy gets no discipline at all hes back out next shift hoping he doesnt screw up, this guy needs to stop with the excuses when he says i didnt like how we defended then…. teach and show the boys how to defend better if you keep saying i didnt like how we defend and not doing anything about it you are just blowing words into the air knoblauch, youve lost most of my respect by holding certain players accountable and not the others its time to wake up knoblauch just because you got the contract extension that doesnt mean you are safe YOU ARE AN NHL HEAD COACH its time to wake up and stand by your word or it just becomes bullshit
Ahhhhh I'm trying not to rag on the defensemen… I'm really trying!!! But it's so frustrating to see them stand still and look on as our goalie makes a save and then has to stop multiple rebounds with no help 💔 rebounds are always on the defensemen, PERIOD. That final goal was entirely on Bouchard. And Emberson and Kulak have been liabilities when they're in front of Picks/Stu, too!! I feel like Picks did so well, but a goalie can only do do much. Blues defense was better than Oilers, and it sucks to see it. I'm really hoping Oilers can learn to play top-to-bottom defensively, 'cause we can't just rely on offense in the current metagame for hockey… here's hoping 🍻

Oilers do not respond well to desperate teams that play with urgency. The Oilers need to figure out their strategy moving forward. Urgency or patience? Urgency creates wins. Patience requires significant possession time hoping opportunities will pop up. But the clock is always running and a patient, calm game strategy burns up a lot of time often not producing the results you're looking for. There's a saying in the world of entrepreneurs…a paranoid entrepreneur will never go hungry.
Bouchard easily could’ve helped Picard on that 3rd goal instead he stood there staring at the puck and it led to a rebounded goal Bouchard isn’t a defender put him on wing or send him to the ahl god wish we traded him for rantanen
