The Canadiens pulled off a gritty 4-3 overtime win at home after nearly losing a 2-0 lead. Alex Newhook iced the game with a breakaway goal 1:40 into OT. Ivan Demidov tied it 3-3 with 2:23 left in the third period on a one-timer from the slot. Nick Suzuki extended his point streak to 11 games with two assists, while Cole Caufield scored and added an assist, and Juraj Slafkovsky scored his third straight power‐play goal. Ottawa battled back strong, with contributions from Drake Batherson, Michael Amadio (tying the game late in the 2nd), and Tim Stützle. The Canadiens now lead the NHL in overtime wins early this season.

Monty is basically an average goalie better suited to play on a rebuilding 25th place team where the pressure isn't there to win the cup. He's not a big time gamer.

Fellow Habs fanatics….the best thing about this game for me was that cousins was on the ice for all of the following: Getting his arse kicked in a fight, the tying goal and in OT for the winning goal!!! If this is one of their best 3 forwards, being relied upon late in the 3rd period of a tie game and then in OT….the Sens are in serious trouble LOL.
Dobson’s job on the 2 on 1 is to stop the pass from getting to the 2nd guy. It’s Montembault’s job to focus on the puck carrier. Montembault cheated on the expected pass and got burned. That goal was on him, not Dobson.
I just don’t get why we are putting bolduc on the 4th line guy was on the second scored lile 5 goals , gets thrown on the 4th with stone hands handerson and no gas gally😂

IMO if an attacker's skate is in the blue paint when the puck goes in, that should be no goal. Having said that, in most cases I think they get interference right, and they got it right here.
Honestly, only one of the sens goals i can let slide on that bounce. The other two MONTE should've had, he is just lookin so sloppy out there. The first goal was like he fell asleep at the wheel, the third one sure Dobson shouldve crossed but i bet Dobson was probably thinking okay two pinching down Monte has this, pressure on .. NOPE.
