Comrie was good on the Winnipeg net, Silovs was up and down. It was goalies game, they decided results
The goaltender rotation was cute at the beginning but enough is enough . Pick someone and play them
Love this episode DK! I agree with your assessment of Silovs game and rebound control. When you say that Silovs is almost spitting out rebounds on purpose, I believe is a mix of him being wildly athletic and him still learning body angling. Silovs has wildly flexible hips allowing him to almost build a literal 180° wall with his pads. When the puck hits his pads it’s acting like a springboard spitting the puck back out into the slot. Also, his hands are extremely active and the telescoping of him projecting his blocker and glove way in front of his body also can cause those directly back out into the slot rebounds. I feel like these things will get better with more game time. I think he only has 30 some regular season NHL games total under his belt. Here’s to hoping he continues to develop and keeps pushing Jarry in this goalie competition!
when you give up a goal in the first 15 seconds you werent ready to play ! tomassino has to play more !
Great episode. I like the part about the guys walking around together in different combinations. No cliques. Cool
Hey DK – What do you make of Tomasino? Last year I though he was a player who simply floated around and was opportunistic. In the pre-season games he was driving offense, forechecking, battling for pucks and just being more involved in general. Now, he's right back to just floating around out there. What do the Pens do with him? Does he become the odd man out when McGroarty returns?
Protect the house. Outstanding call. Winnipeg scored in the house too many time. That's why they lost.
I thought Arty’s answer was perfect.
they don't beat Winnipeg often, I wasn't expecting much out of this one anyway
Thank you Dk. I like the idea that they have more work to do. Working together better yet. A loss was coming sooner or later, but now it's time for a win. Too many rebounds, I agree. Great stuff DK
Sorry to break it to you the Jets are so much better than the Penguins and it's not even close. They went up 4 early and it could have been a lot worse. Jets let up in the third
