  1. My stance with Linus is essentially that I agree last night wasn’t his fault, but he wasn’t good. And it’s not exactly arguable that he hasn’t been good enough. An NHL worst -7.8 goals saved above expected, along with a -4.35 goals saved above expected last night. Sure the team wasn’t good enough, but they were on a back to back and he wasn’t. He needs to be a rock, and he wasn’t. He’s getting paid the 6th most money in the league for a goaltender and has not played like a top 25 goalie.

Even people who are saying that the team wasn’t bad in front of him cannot claim that he’s been elite. And that’s a valid criticism considering he’s supposed to deliver like an elite goalie.

  2. Remember the "Andy Can Do No Wrong Club"? When Craig Anderson was playing there was a crowd who would NEVER blame him. Ridiculous.

Are we creating the "Linus Can Do No Wrong Club"? The goalie is to blame for letting in bad goals…his job is stopping the puck. If you let out a bad rebound that's on you. Stop sugar coating it… Ullmark played bad.

  3. From the harping on Matinpalo file: Two games ago he screened Leevi onboth goals (check the replay) , yesterday he deflects the puck in. 7 games, no points.

  4. ullmark makes 8 millions to be elite goaltender and last night he was NOT plain and simple , team was tired from playing and traveling and he was rested so he can be the difference . we came back to 3- 4 then he let in shot from bedard 😡😡Ullmark needs to be 8 millions goalie . and YES Green need to use his time out

  5. That’s a wild take pillzy and I normally agree with you… you pretty much are saying you don’t like stoping negative momentum, let the boys keep digging a deeper hole but when we get it turned around let’s hit pause and give them a pat on the back. You never get momentum when it’s in your favour

  6. Not solely at fault… but mainly… advanced stats and the eye test show he needs to do more. Green better never put him up in the press box again, didn't help

  7. Just when you think the Sens have figured out how to defend & goaltend, they show us very clearly that they haven't. Ullmark has to convince Sens fans that he's worth $8M. No excuses. Sens were tired and could have used his help.

  8. Groundhog Day! I love the goaltending aspect of hockey but when you give away your best young goalies and trade for star goalies on other teams that continually flop in Ottawa, a huge part of that is a result of very poor goalie coaching and consulting.

  9. The loss by the Sens to the Blackhawks was partially Linus’ fault (at least two ugly goals I could count his having allowed) but also very much the team in front of him (with so many teammates of his having thrown defence under the bus).

  10. This may come as a shocker for many (maybe) but as a Swede myself I am not at all biased towards the Swedish players in the Senators.
I've said it before and will do it again Linus U. is paid what 8m and can't even show up and do game winning saves etc. then he should reconsider his value amongst goalies. I am also tiered from defending him as many others do. HE NEEDS to step up his game NOW, I think we should bring Meriläinen for the upcomming 3-4 games to make a statement. I would seriously not care even a little if we lose with Leevi in net since he is not getting paid even close to Ullmarks salary.

Then we have Fabian Z. HE NEEDS to score points mainly goals in my opinion, thats what he was traded for and he hasn't been rocking yet. So Zetterlunds value is also inflated due to this.

Ottawa Senators COMES first in my heart and I don't care where the players are from… Go Sens Go 🖤❤🤍🧡

  11. Ullmark was brutal I think it was Bedard's 1st goal but man Bertuzzi is in his crease take your normal movement and hit Bertuzzi he's in your paint it will come back everytime but he didn't fully push and just stayed deep in his net. Then at least 1 of the other goals needed a save he didn't move before the puck was behind him on almost every goal like move man at least make it look like you are trying or in the game. I would've put Leevi in after the 1st period personally but whatever Sens always lose in Chicago so I'm not too upset I expected the L it's just frustrating the way they keep throwing away games they should win because of goaltending and poor defensive play (not as much over the last 7 games)

  12. Beckman's stats are insanely impressive that's crazy and it's great for his development he's on his own out there gotta be on Canada's WJC radar I think he can beat out Ravensbergen for a spot on the team

  13. It's a team effort when we win or lose. The nights we win, the team does well to insulate our goalies, they support one another in layers in the d zone and transition the puck out well. When we don't, we put our goalies in tough spots and it has not gone well. You shouldn't expect your goalie to bail you out, but it would be nice to have a goalie steal one for you sometimes.
