Anyone else beyond tired of listening to bednar monotone, almost comatose interaction(s) with media? I know he is slightly more energetic with his players. But jeez louise. His pg pressers are slightly above reading a phone book in a foreign language you do not know. Hope to god the AVs play better because listening to his sleepwalking low energy monologues is amplified when the AVs suck. And they show all the signs of sleepwalking into the season. IOW, little change from the previous years…. except for the cup year. If the PP continues to lay dormant, which it has for 3 years, then listening to beds drone on with excuses… good lord.
Heckuva performance by Wedgewood for the reg W. I thought Utah outplayed the Avs generally, but Col did what top teams do – win a game when not quite at their best. We'll getcha next game Avs. GoUtahGo
Was an amazing game Avs played well Utah played fast. I feel like the last 2 minutes Utah was slapping every shot instead of setting up. Also great game by Wedge
I think – and it is no excuse – that the fact we had to fly out to LA for the season opener, and are back in Denver 2 days later didn't help. Utah was playing their season opener and traveled half the distance the Avs did to get there even though it was our home game. Utah was at home before they traveled, and didn't even change time-zone. Our slow play stemmed from that. Especially at the beginning of the season, those difference are going to show.

Wedge won that game, no doubt… A year ago with the "other" goalie, Avs would've lost like 6 -1 imo… Utah was scrappy as heck!
