Colten Ellis and Noah Ostlund enter the picture for the Buffalo Sabres

After falling to the Canadiens in Montreal, the Buffalo Sabres are looking for a bounce back at home against the Detroit Red Wings, with a couple new pieces in the lineup. Colten Ellis will get his first career NHL start, a player Sneaky Joe likes the potential for in the Sabres’ net. Also, Noah Ostlund gets his first real crack at showing something on a line with Jason Zucker and Jack Quinn.

    MTL is a top 10 team. Lower top 10, like 8,9 or 10. Colorado is the best team in the league hands down. Then, CAR, VGK, NJD, WPG for top 5. Then DAL, WSH, probably NYR (with Shisterken at around a .950 save percentage) MTL prob FLA finds their footing at some point for bottom 10. TB and OTT look bad so far this year. TOR looks vulnerable Sabres have to get points against TOR this weekend 👍 🏒

    Why do hacks keep repeating this stupidity that Ellis would likely end up back in St Louis if waived?
    St Louis is way down in the order to claim a waived player.
    If Ellis has any value another team will claim him.

    Am I the only one who can’t stand Quinn. What does he bring to the team? He’s a liability everytime he’s on the ice. Some how turns the puck over every time he touches it.

    Now I know Joe listens to after the whistle. At least once in a while. I don’t understand how Joe doesn’t understand yet why it is important to have Geersten in the lineup. I am going to take the analysis of guys who played in the NHL on successful teams over Joe. It is obviously very important. Lindy would not put him in if the After the Whistle guys were wrong.
