Agree with you on Lohrei. For me, it’s a simple calculus: the defensive structure has been much better in the last three games. The Bruins are winning.
Also, I’m really liking Sturm’s approach and his communication style. The other reason not to be upset about Lohrei is that Sturm so obviously loves giving opportunities to young players who’ve earned them. The man has absolutely glowed when talking about Minten and (more recently) Khustnutdinov. Sitting Lohrei is not a blanket statement about Sturm’s attitudes on youth and development like it might have been with previous coaches.

Man, this new D system has me confused. When it works, ok. But too many times it leaves an opponent standing in the slot, mano a mano with our tender. I hope the Beez have a practice before Tuesday's game to sync with the vision, whatever that is.

At the beginning of the season, I wasn't on board with Sturm's program. It sounded too much like, "We are not talented enough to score often so we will huddle in a defensive shell and hope for chances." That's not a strategy, that's and excuse for being mediocre (or worse). However, I have to say that the more the team sticks to the system, it does lead to some exciting hockey. Go Bs!!!!
Couldn’t catch this one today but pumped to see we came out on top against strong competition. I love that Khusy is taking full advantage of his opportunity. Super happy for him, he had a hill to climb coming into the season and had to beat a lot of guys out. He continues to prove keeping him in the lineup was the right decision.
Agree with the Lohrei take, you’ve won 3 in a row, why change things now? Let him sit and learn and be pissed so when he comes back in he has something to prove. Really enjoying Sturms coaching style so far. He doesn’t bullshit and is very direct with the players, which is what this team needs.

One part of me wants to see the players and the fans be happy and enjoy hockey. Another part wants (and knows we need) a good draft this year. Can we meet in the middle somehow? 😂😭

I think a better third line would be Mitten, Kastelic and Poitras if they bring him up. Jeannot hasn’t done anything.

As a McAvoy "hater" I got a kick out of his blocked shot leading to a goal, because he was literally covering no one after skating large circles in the defensive zone and was closer to the blue line than he was to the net front.
Went to the game for my Birthday today and was genuinely worried. Bruins came up huge. Was it for me? Did the bruins look up in the nosebleeds with a twinkle and say “let’s do it for that fuckin dude” maybe. If so you’re welcome. Great content, great game, great birthday.
Lorelei has to learn how to play defence. It shouldn’t be difficult to do unless he doesn’t have the head for it. If thats the case he will never make it.
I love the wins but im not buying into it too much, I still see us finishing in the bottom 10. Today was a GREAT win, regardless of Carolinas injuries, but we were flat out outplayed the previous 2 games and in the Avs game. Process over results, I love that this team is watchable though.

I completely agree on not changing a thing about the defense right now. Lohrei will eventually get back in the lineup but as far as we're winning just ride the wave. This win surprised me.
montreal has already won 5 overtime games. the point system needs to change.
I spent the whole game absolutely ripping into Arvidsson because he's such an incredibly frustrating player to watch so the moment Mittlestandt sprung him on that semi breakaway I knew for a fact he would score.
Honest question here, and not trying to bash the player: Arvidsson is playing ok but is he doing anything extra that a guy like Lysell wouldn't do? Maybe the defensive part of the game? I don't know man, I just think we're missing an opportunity here to get the kid going. Cheers mate.
