  1. pretty obvious what he's doing; he's using it like a jab. By not turning his hips and committing so much he's making it that much harder to counter thus he can use it that much more.

It's a lot like a jab in that it's not going to ko you but you can't ignore it and it's going to both disrupt your offence and make you work around it.

  2. People keep thinking he has power, but it's actually the opposite. It's just ridiculous technique. Unlike other mma fighters who are mostly amateur rank at best when their skillsets are broken down. Alex is literally a pro/elite level kickboxer. Alex has most likely practiced his kick and left hand for almost 15-20 years of his life. Most mma fighters don't have this kind of experience. Before stepping into the UFC, Alex already held 11 titles in multiple organizations. 2 of those titles were world championships in 2 different weight classes. That's just a ridiculous amount of accomplishments and accolades before entering MMA.

  3. Mma fighters suck at fighting, as soon as someone who was good at a different sport comes along he beats everybody. They don't know how to punch and they don't know how to kick. Argue with the wall.

  4. Its ALMOST more of a Silat trip than a MT strike. Btw, also he has great discipline keeping the kick so slow he almost grazes the matte.

  5. Izzy probably the only fighter in the UFC who knows Pereira enough to see the kick coming. It’s fast but he has a tell when it’s coming, he dips back and lowers his body, not as obvious as turning your shoulders but it’s there.

  6. Reminds me of a simple soccer ball kick. Perhaps for a pass. Low key strikes definitely get through more.

  7. He kicks correctly. You can also kick with the top of your foot after you develop the 3" by 4" calluse on top of the foot.

  8. Ele busca contundência não impacto. Ele bate com a lateral do pé; que possui uma formação única então causa dor sem sair nenhum milímetro da base. CHAMA 🔥
