The Habs Are Sending a Clear Message to the NHL

What if I told you the Montreal Canadiens were never really rebuilding… they were just reloading?
Because right now, ten games into the 2025–26 season, the Habs are doing something nobody expected.

They’re sitting at 7-3-0, tied for second in the entire NHL, and playing the kind of hockey that doesn’t look like a “lucky start.” It looks like a warning.

A message to every team that counted them out, every analyst who said they were years away, and every fan who thought patience meant waiting forever.

This isn’t the same Montreal. This is a team that’s done apologizing for the past. They’re faster, sharper, hungrier — and for the first time in a long time, you can feel that something real is happening inside the Bell Centre.

But to understand how they got here… you have to rewind a bit. Because this team didn’t just wake up good. They earned this edge — through years of pain, trades, and belief — all quietly building toward a moment like this. And that moment has arrived.

  1. Lol, why you pronouncing Jakub Dobes like he is an American/Canadian? 🤷‍♂️ He is Czech. He's name and surname sounds totally different.

  2. Айван тот же 😂. Что за мода у американцев произносить на свой лад 🤷‍♂️. Проявите немного уважения, просто выучите как будет правильно произносится имя того или иного игрока из Европы. Но нет же, вы будете говорить так, как вам удобно.

  3. Great video bro but you gotta work on your player name pronunciations lol. Even Cole Caufield man haha. Maybe just do a quick search up on how to pronounce the player names before recording 😅. Awesome video nonetheless

  4. It just smell like the 70's and Demidov look just like Lafleur was back than. We can hope for final again this year.

  5. I'm a fan of the Habs but understand the dynamics. They are a young team with good pace and effort… But… This advantage has it's limits. It's a long grueling schedule and 10 first games of the season is no way to predict the year. Expect long losing streaks without answers.
    MSL is the problem.
500 shots less than the Panthers last year.
    That's not Xhekajs fault.
105mph slapshot on the bench every single power play.
Slavkosky has never missed a fn minute of PP.

Bring in Hartley then then Pascal Vincent.

  6. The only one that has a fear for mistakes is Xhekaj. Every time he's on the ice, you can tell he doesn't play his style anymore. Just a few hits in the last couple of games . He looks sloppy, he makes mistake, he 's loosing his confidence. He's too afraid to get penalised by the refs or by the coach. Even if he's benched, and it happend way too man times imo, he always smiles hoping for the best. Let the kid play his game, set the guy loose FCS
Its unlikely that he will be traded (his brother as a 4th liner in the future looks like a real scenario) but even those who don't like him knows that every team in the NHL right now are looking for that kind of player. Teams will jump on him if he's on waivers.

  7. Canadiens have done everything in this league at legendary levels. Except a rebuild. Never did one of those.

Did you actually think this rebuild would be anything but epic ?

They’ll be writing books about this rebuild someday.

Lord Stanley is coming home. To stay.
