  1. the best part is the fans still thought it was a goal because it was such a wide open net! You can even see devils fans high fiving a few seconds after the save lol

  2. Bernier was like this with the leafs. He would make saves like this. So unbelievable only Carey Price could save that. But, either than that he was letting in terrible goals that bad call up goalies will let in.

  3. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Pingu in the City. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of ornithological biology, the significance of the show's moral ambiguity will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Pingu’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the show's sophisticated plot, to realise that it's not just psychologically thrilling- it also provides us with many profound messages regarding the universe and our place, or lack of place, in it. As a consequence people who dislike Pingu in the City truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the passion in Pingu’s existential catchphrase “NOOT NOOT,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Otmar Gutmann’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

  4. – Where was THIS Jonathan Bernier when he was with the Leafs? Hardly ever saw him make highlight-reel saves like this one back in those days…AMAZING save! We're after already seeing a boatload of highlight saves in the 1st few days, I still say Devan Dubnyk's Hasek-esque save in Detroit was the best.

  5. Actually watched this game and i gotta say, bernier was outstanding in his debut. Was making so many highlight reel saves in the third period.

  6. had to read the title twice then read the description to make sure it was him then i watched the video but im still not convinced its actually Jonathan Bernier
