Let’s all take a breath and give him and the team 1/4 of a season – the bigger issue is some lower players don’t look like they belong in the NHL.

Pro sports contracts should have a non-performance get-out clause (most off us working real jobs would be fired if we underperformed to this extent.). The bottom line is that the EP40 contract has cursed this team for years to come. It's why Tocchet left, why QH43 will leave and why Vancouver will not be a destination franchise for any desirable talent.
Maybe this team will be decent again by the time my kids grow up. Hughes about to leave, but probably keep us too competitive to draft top prospects. We stuck with 11.6 in Petey who just sucks for some bizarre reason for the next 7 years? Blame should be placed on ownership. Aquilini has overseen 20 years of failure and set the team up for at least another 10 years of failure with horrendous contracts, ill considered trades, and disastrous buyouts. He either doesn't know or doesn't care how the salary cap works, and as a result has owned a losing hockey team for two decades now. The only response is clear, don't spend money on his team, don't go to games, don't watch, don't buy merchandise, all you will do is enable him to continue enjoying financial returns while the Canucks flounder in failure.
I think the entire team will get booed. Because at the end of the day, EP40 or not, the entire team doesn't seem to care. Same crap as last year. It's one thing to lose, it's another not to show up. And VC hasn't shown up. And people are going to get real tired of it real soon.
