NHL is catching up to MLB in National TV money. Especially with ESPN opting out of MLB. We live in a different world now.
Not true what you all are saying about blackouts. In my case, I live in Albany. Devils and Islanders games are blacked out when Buffalo plays a home game, because supposedly we're in Buffalo's market. But ESPN plus blacks out those Devils and Islanders games (as well as Rangers and Sabres). So if you're a Devil or Islander fan there is no LEGAL way to watch those games. These examples happen in other markets as well. It's shortsighted and has been that way for decades.
