I think Brindley got hurt, he’s out and Makar called up. Concussion? Hence the entire line being benched. Could have played the other dudes more but that’s why the low TOI.

Yeah. That's precisely what the refs (spoken: NHL) were thinking today. It could not have been more obvious that they were trying to keep things as close as they could. I don't know if it was because it was Nevada day, or if it was because two top teams or whatever, but it was ridiculous.
I was at the game. About 6 minutes into the game, you could tell that VGK was having serious trouble getting it through the neutral zone, and until they came out of the room in the 3rd, VGK offered no real threat on even ice…and even then, it was only a couple offensive zone possessions.
Think it wasn't artificially manufactured today?
Tell you what: you go through any number of games you want. Let me know how many you had to go through before you found one where the team who was up 2-0 was at a 1-6 deficit in penalty calls.
