  1. I'll come back and edit this if its mentioned during the show, but I'd actually argue that in a lot of ways the top line has more to give, and was better at the end of last year, which is also why I think what they are doing so far is insane. They're going to be a legit problem for every team in the league.

  2. I like how Voleno has progressed in the last few games. I can see him as a good long term fit with Anderson on a forechecking hard-to-play against line

  3. Coaches have to stop changing the game to keep the lead, keep the same line rotation. If you allow a team to use their offence by defending only then it’s not gonna go well at times.

  4. Team USA would take Matthew Tkachuk in a wheelchair over Cole Caufield, apparently. Hoping to see Suzuki for team Canada, hopefully Celebrini makes it too.

  5. We finally have a two way rookie centerman oliver kepanin
And the BRIGHT idea is to put
Ivan Demidov AND Kirby Dach on the same line 😂
Both players are phenomenally terrible in their own end.

  6. I really don’t see what everyone else sees in Bolduc. He’s got a great shot and he’s a good player. But I really don’t see him as the gritty top 6 winger so many people act like he is.

  7. They are a very young team that are still developing and maturing. Perfect example is Slav who is less of a goofy kid and becoming an adult .

  8. Based on the last 2-3 games, Time on ice suggest Kapanen-Newhook-Demidov line is in fact the 4th line. I don't get how the common theme is that this line is effective and improving. I mean, they get some points and all, but if Marty truly believed this trio was working, they would play more than 10-12mins a game. Dont give me the "they were being sheltered playing on the road" jeez half the games are on the road… I'd love a change moving forward, but still unsure Dach is an improvement for Demidov 😂 Regardless, fun season so far! GO HABS GO!

  9. Has anybody thought of for next year: Bolduc-dach-demidov and newhook-kapanen-hage. Have having the same role as demidov but on a third line

  10. It’s because once they have the lead. Marty puts out all his shut down lines instead of trying to keep scoring.

  11. Your metaphor usage is EXCELLENT. You metaphor usage adds to your points, and is used very thoughtfully…gas pedal through the floor, they are cooking and they can let it simmer…etc. Alot of people not only use metaphors incorrectly, but they use them as easy outs and it ends up diluting their points. You BOTH use metaphors in a way that finishes your points perfectly. Anyways, I know that's a dinky little comment, but it did strike me as something I appreciated in addition of course to the real hockey content you also are delivering. Thank you both!

  12. Amazing stuff guys like always. Unfortunately unless a miracle happens Kirby Dack faceoff % is, and always has been terrible. I think he should aim for power forward winger ala Slavkosky.

  13. The 2C should have a decent face-off winning percentage.

Kapanen is already showing he can play a two way game in this league. He’s only going to get better. Stick with the process.

I see Dach as a winger. And that would be just fine if he too plays a two way game and uses his size.

  14. 21:56 Bolduc – Dach – Demidov

Newhook – Kapanen – Demidov get hemmed in, curious to see production of Kapanen & Newhook away from Demidov

  15. 45:37

Do people realize Italy will have Plympuc sized ice…?

Why would team USA and Canada build teams for North American ice where size is not the end all the be all

  16. I would rather see Suzuki, Caulfield, and Hutson get Olympic snubs if it means they're rested up for a deeper play-off run.
