Letting Sundqvist get away for nothing would be right up there with the Bolduc trade

Binner is a legend in the Lou ,but he's struggling.the defense in front of him has not been good and the turnovers in transition has been the worst, with that said im pretty sure that Binner has a big goose egg on the inordinate amount of uncontested breakaways , he's not expected to stop all of them but tbis is one on one , he should be stopping a few . And his head is in tbe same realm as most of the rest of the team ,a second too late on positioning in the net, as far as the rest they seem to a second too late on cashing in on passes etc. Im starting to think that 1.6 seconds from game 7 might be lingering in the back of this teams collective minds
We may need a back-up goaltender if this goaltending doesn’t shape up. We are 10 games in with not one but both goalies playing like (well you fill in the blank).

The Blues are struggling, missing two key players, and need vet players who contribute to team on ice and off. Let’s trade Sunny, the guy who checks all those boxes. Makes absolutely no sense.
If they're going to let Sundqvist walk, then I would just as soon see Steen take the reins early and go all-in on a full on swap of everybody on the roster born in 1998 or older. All of them. Thomas should be the oldest player on the roster. Bring in some stop-gap older players if you need to, but build the roster for next year. Why would I advocate such a drastic move? Is it an over-reaction at this point? 2019 was an exquisite anomaly. Miracle hot streaks notwithstanding, that Cinderella story won't be repeated by this cast of characters. And apart from 2019, the other 30 years of excellent mediocrity I've been witness to has been long enough. The current "core" has driven some of the best coaches in the team's history right out of town. The current "core" has a lot of talent, but no identity worth keeping. Pick something. Punishing forechecks. Puck possession. Fast transition with active defense. World class chirpers, dirty instigators, elite special teams. I don't care what it is, as long as the team knows what they're supposed to be doing and starts holding each other to that standard. Heck, bring back the good old boring prevent defense and ice a team of shutout specialists. 1-0 victories were more exciting back in the day than a lot of people remember. But this hodge-podge cast of talented people doing their own thing, regardless of who is coaching, and then crapping the bed at the first sign of adversity has got to end. I don't see how you change that culture without drastic and rapid roster changes.

Sundqvist adds more to the Blues than he could to any other team out there, so I doubt any team would offer enough to make it worth losing him.
Texier, on the other hand, will probably not be playing many more games in a Blues jersey, whether he's traded, waived, or just kept in the press box for a while.
