The New York Rangers have gotten off to a disappointing start as they’ve had massive troubles scoring and, at times, haven’t played to great defensively. One day im going to wake up and see Lafrenierre has been traded , and that day I will smile. This is season 6 I will hear ZERO excuses for this bum, this chump will be in his 10th season and ranger fans will be like " oh you gotta give him time " .
I'm not sure if they players are still at odds with the organization or, if Sullivan's system just doesn't suit the Rangers current roster. It's still too early to tell, which one it is. Also, myself and a few others, were basically begging the Rangers to call up Robertson last season. They finally brought him up and he has been playing good. Better then most defenders the Rangers have had over the past few years.
Laffy has been terrible.
He will get traded .
He plays like he doesn't want to be in ny.
Come on hes got 3 points and is a -7
In 9 game. Most games hes invisible.
The scoring drought has been an issue literally since Day # 1.
Only last game did most everything else break down (while scoring, oddly, was the only plus!)
Last season, when degeneration began, the coaching staff did NOTHING.
If nothing is done now, this season will be even worse.
Try a Kids Line with Othmann – Laba – Bedard.
Keep the 4th line rough, maybe fill Mackey in (I know he usually plays D) while Rempe is out.
Give Laffy a sabbatical like Igor had to work with coaches.
Mix and change up the top 2 lines til some chemistry happens.
Why do I feel Lafreniere will be traded to a Canadien team and his play has nothing to do with with the loss of another player, this guy is a Pro and should be able to adjust quickly that’s not a excuse for his lack of play. Cuylle is playing but not scoring do I think this team has gone through too many coaches and changes YES, all coaches have different styles and this can effect a player.
Lafreniere IS a good hockey player.
He’s definitely an NHL player.
Unfortunately for rag fans he’s not a #1 overall pick type of player.
He is more of a 3rd round pick type of player.
A bottom 6 guy who can’t be relied to elevate the team but more like a guy who you don’t have to worry about what he’s on the ice.
That’s all you can really ask from him.
Don’t get me wrong it’s EXTREMELY disappointing especially how much he’s getting paid but I wouldn’t say he’s a bad hockey player.
He’s Just not what came advertised .

As frustrated as is the play has been. The younger guys are not the ones any franchise can afford to just trade away. Get the feeling they hate the coach already? 🏒
Ask yourself why Robertson was a 7th to start the season. It's because training camp is an illusion. A bunch of young guys & AHLers are out there mostly playing other teams also rans & much of the lineup is predetermined actually. Othman played the preseason with guys like Dowling, Blidh & other nonentities. And the coaches expected him to shine? Context is everything & forwards play in threes, not by themselves. Perreault got a fair look because he played with better guys. I like Sullivan, but maybe it's his system because the team in Hartford is goal starved too.

Over the summer there was that rumor that Montreal who has been hot for laffreniere maybe would do a shalfosky deal two number ones for each other he’s also not playing up to his abilities
Look at their roster, who is up and coming? they got nothing, no young players leading the way still depending on washed up core players like Panarin and Zibanajed and as long as those are your 2 best players you are going nowhere, they got nothing.

They had on back to back years the second then the first pick of the draft and massively whiffed on both picks. This has set the franchise back years.
